Orla’s IGP1 track. I’m so proud of this girl! Her genetics really shine through. Orla She went from arriving as a hot mess express, to clarity and resilience in her work. It was such a joy to be part of her story. The comeback princess! 👑
Just watch the deep lovely nose on this girl dog. 🤩

My favorite part of the IGP protection phase is the escape & re-attack. There are so many components. So much control! It’s difficult and truly a test of the dog.

In the escape & reattack, the helper attempts to flee, testing the dog’s speed, drive, and commitment to prevent the escape. After the initial engagement, the helper renews the threat, testing the dog’s fighting spirit, and ability to maintain a strong, full grip under pressure.

In the long bite (test of courage), the helper charges the dog head-on with threatening movements and the stick overhead, testing the dog’s ability to withstand pressure while committing to a strong, full grip. And of course, that elusive out. 💀

In IGP, the protection bark and hold in the blind tests the dog’s courage, confidence, and ability to guard the hidden helper through sustained, forceful barking.

Orla & Moxie deserved an extra long trail run enrichment after their winning weekend! 🍁🍂🖤🤎🐾🐾

Moxie’s IGP1 track under USCA Breed Warden & Judge, Heidi Theis.
A 90 points.
Happy, slow, left/right check. That first leg of the track is the stuff dreams are made of. 😘👌🏼
