Southern California friends, let’s get together! ☀️🐾

Bingley & Co. will be in Southern California this August for a dog training conference from August 18-20.

While we’re in town, we’d love to organize a casual meet-up with past clients, friends, and their dogs either a few days before or after the conference. Nothing formal, just a chance to catch up, say hello, and see some familiar faces.

We’re still working out the details, but wanted to see who might be interested. If you’d like to join us, leave a comment below!

Alright, this is a little vulnerable to post, but we’re asking our community for help!

At the end of August, the International Association of Canine Professionals Conference is happening in Newport Beach, California. Conferences like this are a huge deal in the dog training world. It’s where trainers go to learn from some of the best in the industry and bring better knowledge and skills back to the dogs and families we work with.

What makes this year special is that it’s finally happening in a location that’s realistically possible for us to attend. Normally these are across the country and just not doable.

Since moving to Oregon we’ve been rebuilding our business from the ground up, so attending something like this is honestly a stretch financially right now. But it would mean a lot to us and to the future of the work we do.

Realistically, we need to have things booked by June, so we’re putting this out early and seeing if we can make it happen.

We’re trying to raise funds for:
• Conference tickets
• Travel
• Lodging

If we’re able to pull this off, we also plan to host a meet-up in the Inland Empire while we’re down there for past and present clients, friends, and family. It would be really special to reconnect with everyone.

We’re intentionally staying away from GoFundMe or crowdfunding platforms. If anyone would like to support us getting there, we accept donations through:

If we aren’t able to make the trip happen, any funds we receive will still go toward continuing education in dog training, so it will still directly benefit the dogs and owners we work with.

Client highlight: Maverick!
Here’s a word from his owner 🐾
“I got Maverick in May of 2022, at about 7 weeks old….. and for every day of a solid year, I was in tears!!! Although the most beautiful chocolatey chunk, he was HORRIFIC. He chewed walls, furniture, decor, his own bed, a countless number of toys, stole/ate socks, bit and snipped, jumped on counters and ate food off of them, jumped on visitors, chased visitors. He was awful and I didn’t know what to do. I tried a training course through the local pet store. Nothing worked. I knew I’d have to send him off to training, but I hadn’t read great reviews of the local board-and-trains. THEN my daughter-in-law referred me to Bingley Co. and my life and Maverick’s life changed forever for the better. I signed him up for the six-week program, and he came home completely transformed. Max and Rachel saved us both. He’ll be 4 at the end of March. I will be forever grateful to them for giving me and Maverick the tools we DESPERATELY needed. 🤎”

Today feels like a good moment to pause and appreciate the bright spots in my life. I’m grateful for my dogs who keep the days interesting, my partner Rachelle, and the friends and family who support me. I’m also grateful for the dogs I get to work with every day and the people who trust me with their pups. This little community we’re building means a lot.

If today is a holiday for you, I hope it’s gentle and restful. If it’s just another Thursday, I hope it treats you kindly.

Give your dogs an extra scratch for me. I’m grateful for them, and for all of you.

Meet Happy, our newest board and train pup in the hybrid training program! 🐾 He’s 4 years old and will be staying with me for 2 weeks, followed by 2 private sessions to make sure his progress transfers smoothly back home.

Happy came in struggling with anxiousness, body sensitivity, uncertainty around children, and just an overall difficulty settling. Over the next couple of weeks, we’ll be working to help him build confidence, relax in his own skin, and learn how to navigate everyday life more calmly.
