Some shots from our trip to yesterday. The place is amazing. We walked all over for hours exploring the old bunkers and cannons that turns out were never used in battle!! These are what I could snap before my phone died.. what an amazing time.

Here's a little Russula famjam for Family Day. I’ve read that advanced Russula identification can be a nightmare.. but alas... I am but a simple mushroomer with simple wants and needs. Knowing what genus in front of me is often more than enough (at this point, at least). 🍄

Russulas are a bit different from most of their other fungus friends. They're mostly composed of spherically-shaped cells called 'sphaerocytes' that make their flesh more fragile and crumbly when compared with other mushrooms. 🍄

I ALSO read online that because of this, an easy way to ID them is to literally throw them into a tree and watch these brittle shrooms explode into bits and pieces. (How fun is that?).. Though I prefer the donkey-kong smash method myself, personally.

Adding CO2 to your grow room ensures that photosynthesis can continue at a really high rate. This will increase growth and help plants cope with heat of up to 30oC. Interestingly, rising temperatures actually improve CO2 absorption too!

It’s not a greenhouse but this little room just outside my office kicks butt when it comes to seed-starting time. So many more seedlings to transplant with one month to go before planting outside. ..
