Little Hearts Rescue is a 501c3 nonprofit organization, passionate about saving little lives such as: guinea pigs, hamsters, and rabbits.

LHR is located in Modesto, California. We are a foster and donation based rescue.

While I introduce these two baby girls that just joined LHR, I figured I’d share that I’m pregnant with a baby girl!!! 🎀🤍🍼🌷✨
Another little animal lover & rescuer coming so soon!

These two baby girl piggies, however, need a foster home for the next 60 days, as we monitor them for possible pregnancy. They’re around 6-7 weeks old, Abyssinian Peruvian mixes. Will be available for adoption come Dec-ish. All supplies provided for fostering. Cannot be caged with personal guinea pigs. Must be within 30 minutes of Modesto & able to drive to Modesto.

Mr. Toodles went off to his forever home tonight, with a past LHR adopter & supporter!!! So happy for this kiddo, who was found near a dumpster & will now be spoiled for life.

Miss Minnie got stood up for adoption this weekend, & is searching for her forever home still 🥺 This sweet baby was one rescued from SoCal just a few months ago. She’s estimated around 5-6 months old & is a precious ham. Full of personality & s***k, Minnie would love to make you smile everyday 🤍

Can we take a moment for that ROUND little face?! Toodles is an American guinea pig around 5 months old with the sweetest personality to match his adorable looks.

Toodles came to us after being found roaming near busy streets in Manteca when he was only around 6–7 weeks old. His finder spotted him near a colony of cats & quickly scooped him up to keep him safe. When he arrived, he was extremely tiny & skinny with a few surface scratches, likely from a cat. Based on where & how he was found, we believe this little guy had been dumped nearby.

He LOVES to talk to people, to other piggies, basically anyone who will listen! He’s a social little guy who would love having another guinea pig friend & could also be a great addition to an existing herd.

WHERE HAVE I BEEN??
Life has been life-ing recently! I returned from a week long babymoon/vacay, which was SO needed. Upon returning however, my dog & 2 of my personal cats needed vet visits pretty urgently, with all different sorts of health issues 🫠 THEN while I was leaving the vet, I found a kitten hit by a car, in the middle of the road. But don’t worry, I rushed him into the vet & he’s perfectly normal 🥲 So looks like we have a new little foster kitten. I’ll have to share his full story + properly introduce him soon (kitty in photo). This cuddly purr-machine will be available for adoption in upcoming weeks!

I’ve been really trying to focus on my health though, as stuff keeps arising & rest is necessary. For the most part we are doing well 🤍 Thank you to everyone who has checked in!

Adoptions are still being held & we’ve had 4 hamsters find their forever homes this past week! 🐹 So many buns, hams, & piggies left for adoption, so if you’re considering bringing a furry friend into your life, now is the time to adopt!

Well… Meap (now Milo) is officially off to his forever home! 🤍

We are SO happy for this little guy & maybe even happier that he only lives right down the street from me 😂 Plus, I have full visiting rights since one of our close friends adopted him!

One of the biggest things we wanted for Meap was a home with other animals, especially a dog. He absolutely LOVES having animal friends, & as you can see from the first photo… he wasted no time turning his new bestie into a pillow 🥹

The last photo is of Meap with my personal pets, who help us raise all of our foster babies. & I may be a little biased, but I can confidently say we raise some pretty amazing kittens 😆 Fearless, confident, social, & SO animal-friendly. Our pets really do help teach them how to be the best little companions.

We’re going to miss having Mr. Meap around!
