We had the absolute pleasure of making this cuties acquaintance today!! Say hello to Zucchini! She was all wags and gave us so many kisses. We're suckers for a good under bite!!! She was so well behaved and incredibly sweet. We are so lucky to now have her as a patient!

🐾Watching a pet have a seizure is terrifying, but knowing what is happening—and how to react—can save their life. Seizures occur when there is sudden, abnormal electrical activity in the brain. Here is essential information every pet owner should know.🩺

What a Seizure Looks Like:
‼️Uncontrolled twitching, jerking, or stiffening
‼️Sudden collapse or loss of consciousness
‼️Chomping, drooling, or involuntary urination/defecation
‼️Dazed behavior or pacing just before or after the episode

Immediate Action Steps:
‼️Keep Calm & Clear the Area: Gently move nearby furniture or hard objects away so your pet doesn't injure themselves.
‼️Never Put Your Hands Near Their Mouth: Pets do not swallow their tongues during seizures, and they may bite unintentionally.
‼️Time the Seizure: Note when it starts and stops. If it lasts longer than 3–5 minutes, this is a critical emergency—head to an emergency vet immediately.
‼️Keep Them Cool & Quiet: Turn down lights, turn off the TV, and avoid loud noises. Overheating can happen quickly during prolonged seizures.
‼️Record Video (If Safe): If you can do so safely, film the episode to show your veterinarian—it helps immensely with diagnosis.

🩺Always contact your veterinarian or an emergency clinic following a seizure, even if your pet seems to recover quickly.🐾
