So a few weeks ago we were the first in Mobile to get this update on our favorite in house machine.
We are now able to run an in house test on lumps and bumps that will detect mass cell cancer and adipose tissue in canine. We haven’t had time to post as the machine has been super busy already. While it can only detect these 2 which are most of the issues when we see lumps and bumps in dogs, they will be doing updates adding all sorts of other cancer recognitions and eventually for cats too.

It’s in house and have results before you leave (usually 20 minutes).

🎉 CELEBRATING 16 AMAZING YEARS AT MITCHELL ANIMAL CLINIC 🎉🐾

16 years ago today we opened our doors for the first time with a vision to make a difference in our community for pets and their owners and eventually incorporate some holistic modalities. Looking back over our journey our hearts are overflowing with gratitude.

To every client, pet owner and friend who has recommended us along the way - thank you for making us part of your family. From everyone in our local community and area to those that travel from Florida and Mississippi coasts, we are deeply honored by your trust, loyalty and support.

We truly have the best clients and pet patients ! Here’s to 16 incredible years behind us and many many more to come.

After 5 years of being a part time student at the Chi University in Reddick, FL, last night Dr Mitchell as well as about 25 other students worldwide graduated ! He is the first in our area currently to hold a degree of Masters of Science in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine. So thankful for the amazing faculty and colleagues Doc has became friends with during his time at Chi University.

The office is closed today 8/10 but we will reopen Tuesday 8/11 at 730am.

Congrat Doc and all grads of Chi University Class of 2026 !
