UPDATE: SAD NEWS TO SHARE THIS AFTERNOON. POOR ASHA IS NOT IMPROVING. UPDATED BLOOD WORK SHOWS HER KIDNEYS ARE SHUTTING DOWN AND WE'VE DISCOVERED SHE'S ALSO SUFFERING FROM GLAUCOMA AND IS BLIND. AT THIS POINT THERE IS NO HOPE FOR THIS DARLING LITTLE BEAGLE WHO DESERVES SO MUCH BETTER. ASHA WILL BE HUMANELY EUTHANIZED THIS AFTERNOON TO END HER SUFFERING. WE ARE GRATEFUL TO EVERYONE WHO DONATED TO HELP US IN THIS FIGHT. HER FOSTER MOM IN KENTUCKY WILL BE WITH HER WHEN SHE TAKES HER LAST BREATH TODAY. RESCUE CAN BREAK YOUR HEART

Asha is a sweet beagle girl who landed in a rural shelter as a stray. She's bone thin and has a limp and a mouthful of rotten teeth. But we can't address any of those issues yet because she's dehydrated and bloodwork shows her kidney values are off the charts. She's been hospitalized since yesterday hooked up to IV's as we try to save her kidneys (and her life). We will get updated blood work tomorrow (Friday) to see if there's any improvement. Asha is an absolute sweetheart, no matter how bad she feels her tail thumps when she sees people. We desperately want to save this girl and support her in her fight for her life. We're currently looking at about $1000 for phase 1 of her care and we hope and pray we get to phase 2. I only have had her for less than 24hours, but I fallen in love with her. Her non stop tail wagging won my heart.
Unfortunately she is fighting for her life. Years of neglect has lead to kidney failure along with other medical issues.
I named her Asha which means hope.
I hope she can be saved, but if not I will be there
with her.
Sometimes rescue is just hard.

Meet Cuddles 10month old tiny little pup. She was rescued by a young girl being raised right. Simply to care. Ivy saw puppies and dogs being given away in a parking lot. She knew she had to try save and protect one.
Thank you Ivy. Thank your mother too for stepping in to help with Cuddles vetting.
Cuddles will be available at Sweet Dream House Rescue in Batavia Ohio after being vetted

Monroe, Jefferson, and Lincoln are heading to Sweet Dream House Rescue in Batavia Ohio today. 1st stop...groomers!

We pulled from 5 shelters last week.
Pulaski, Laurel, Marion, Mercer, and Bell.
Needless to say we are over capacity and wil be closed to intake for a week or so.
