One thing I love about this hobby is that you can always learn something new no matter how long you’ve been in it. A few days ago Gracie’s Rabbitry posted a neat video tip on how to easily clean algae from water bottles. Water bottle cleaning is one of my least favorite tasks, and previously I’ve been hand wiping all my bottles which is not only time consuming, but also difficult to reach all of the nooks and crannies. This new method is fast, simple, and dare I say a little fun? The process is as follows:

Step 1. remove the bottle from the cage & empty until about a 1/2” water remains
Step 2. pour in your chosen agitator, roughly 2 tablespoons or so (I measure from the heart.) I had rice on hand, but you can also use dry beans
Step 3. (the fun part) shake it!! After 30 seconds my bottles looked BRAND NEW again!!

I will link her video in the comments if you are a more visual learner. This is definitely something I will be adding to my weekly cleaning regime 🧼🫧

Big congratulations to Claire & Rosie on an incredible week at the Tri County Fair!

Claire and Harebell’s Greta (broken tort doe) took home BEST IN SHOW and Grand Champion Senior Showman, while her sister Rosie and Harebell’s Luna (BEW doe) earned Grand Champion Junior Showman and brought home the purple! 💜🏆 Both girls won some pretty awesome belt buckles too!!

Nothing makes us happier than seeing our 4H families succeed with rabbits they’ve raised and worked so hard with. Congratulations girls!

Series buck check in! Our boy is 10.5 weeks old now and really starting to put on weight. His body and chest are massive. He’s in the awkward “uglies” stage but I think once his head pops and he drops his shaggy baby coat he’ll be looking pretty good. Convention hopeful, maybe? 🤞🏼
