What better way to train than on wild birds in the field? Logan Meyer , Lonnie Meyer, of and Jason Rice hunted over three Double LLs Kennels O Litter pups at just under 5 months old. 5 Pheasants and one Sharptail Grouse harvested. Taggie had an impressive 100-yard track and recovery of a wounded rooster. Was it perfect? No! Was it worth it? Yes! Seeing so many birds fly away without a shot fired isn't easy, but lucky to have had a spot with ample opportunities. Oh, and we went out and mopped up the field with the experienced dogs after. Great to connect with the Meyers in the field.

Hank! I received a couple photos from Shannon Harris taken from the NAVHDA utility test at the end of August and was reminded that I have not shared the success that Hank and I had over the Summer. Hank and I received 189 Prize 2. We were so close to that Prize 1 level. Hank had a wonderful background prep from several trainers and it was fun to to round out the corners! I am proud of how well he handled the duck search for a location where he'd only been once before. He's such a sweet boy and has been a pleasure to work with this summer and I am so excited to have been able to hunt with him due to his an extended stay. Time for him to get some much-needed hunting time! Thanks to Dezert Rebelz Pudelpointers for the referrals on some fine hunting dogs this Summer Jason Rice

Fun weekend of training with friends. Final prep of Hanks Utility test this coming weekend and helping others prepare for the Invitational. Highlight was seeing H***h start backing but even better the five dog brace at the very end! H***h and I received a Prize 1 204 score this past weekend at the Big Sky Test! It was an honor to train and handle this Dezert Rebelz Pudelpointers bred dog. H***h handles the field with grace and efficiency that is a true joy to watch. A special thanks to a great foundation from his owner Powel and initial retrieve training from Weiss. We started working together this Summer to refine his retrieve, steadiness, water work, etc for a NAVHDA Utility Test. I am particularly proud of my efforts to prepare him for the walking chukar we encountered at the test and for the work to develop his duck search from start to finish. Thanks to the Judges and Big Sky NAVHDA Chapter for a memorable weekend that will hopefully just be the start for his Versatile Champion Title at the 2027 Invitational!

A couple of Dezert Rebelz Pudelpointers learning their duck search! I really enjoy seeing Hank and H***h realize what this task is all about. Still some proofing to do off home court. This is their second day out of "figuring it out" Thanks to the referal from Rebecca Waite to Austin Powell and James Bruno! These are a couple of eager learners!

More progress! A little paint and a couple other items and interior kennels can go in! Will post some photos in comments of milestones since I haven't posted since concrete pour. Will be done easy in time for Siggy's whelping and training season!
