Hoppy Wednesday!

We have some rabbits looking for their fur-ever homes. Pixie (third photo) has already been adopted. But Fairy (brown) and Bugs (grey) are still searching for their new home!

Before adopting a rabbit, here are some things you should know:

🐰 Bunnies are active and require space to hop around. Having plenty of timothy hay and toys is important.

🐰 Bunnies can be social. Some enjoy attention and cuddles and even the company of another rabbit. Bunnies don't always like being held and may prefer to sit with you on the floor.

🐰 Bunnies need a variety of food in their diets, including pellets and plenty of vegetables. Leafy greens like parsley, cilantro, romaine lettuce can be given in larger amounts, while carrots and fruits like apples (no seeds) and strawberries can be given in small amounts. They should always have access to fresh water.

🐰 Owning a bunny means lots of cleaning! Enclosures should be cleaned multiple times a week. If your bunny is litterbox trained, litterboxes should be cleaned frequently.

🐰 Bunnies can live a long time! Please consider this commitment before bringing them home.

Pixie and Bugs are both fixed, up to date on their shots and ready to go home! Visit them Monday - Friday, 12-5:30 p.m. and Saturday, 12-4 p.m. at Missoula Animal Services, located at 6700 Butler Creek Rd.
