You made it to my public page, welcome!! I'm your friendly pet-care extrordinaire, Dana! I am a licensed accredited professional with over eight years of experience working with all sorts of animals. I am also bonded, insured and pet CPR/first aid certified!
A little backstory about my experience: well, I have loved furry critters and pets my entire life! I have a huge, loving passion for animals of all shapes, sizes and personalities. I started off back in 2018 working through pet-care apps like Rover and Wag! and discovered that being with animals is my true passion and I absolutely love it! I officially onboarded with Dogs on the Run as a pet-care professional back in November of 2023 because I wanted to be part of a more well-known and established community of pet-care professionals. I feel extremely grateful to be supported by a great community of women here behind the scenes at Dogs on the Run!
I currently have a dog of my own, Pepper (she is the sweetest 3-year old black Goldendoodle! She is so full of energy and keeps me very active!) I've also had the pleasure of loving on Charlie, (half pit half lab -- 15 years old, we had to put him down last year, but he was a huge love bug!) and have also had a yellow lab by the name of Latte. We had her for a good 10 years. My appreciation, knowledge and love for dogs has grown exponentially from owning and bonding with all these puppers! Having Pepper right now has shaped me into a very responsive, assertive walker. I’ve learned a lot as well from private side walks and dog-sitting as a hobby through family friends.
I also have some experience taking care of your friendly feline friends as well. I'm familiar with cat-litter scooping procedures, active playtime, any meds needed, and providing TLC! I have cat-sat American shorthairs, Maine-coons, calicos, Norwegian forest-cats, Persian-types, Sphinx cats, and many more!
Last but not least, I also have experience taking care of other exotic and cute critters and reptiles: from bunnies, to guinea pigs and rats, to fish and even turtles, snakes and leopard geckos! I also helped take care of my mom's friend's mini-horse named Cowboy for a week or two when he was still alive and healthy back in 2020.
I worked for a few months at Redlands animal shelter as a volunteer opportunity and got to bond with many dogs.
I will service any animal within a ten mile radius of North Mission Viejo, CA!
I am able to offer to following services:
1) Dog walking/running visits of the follow time lengths: 20, 30, 45 and 60 minutes.
2) Drop-in visits of the following time lengths: 20, 30, 45 and 60 minutes.
3) Overnight care (12-14 hour promise) at your home.
4) Boarding at my condo in North Mission Viejo (maximum of 3 dogs that weigh 25 lbs or less).
5) Specialized care for dogs with medical issues/special needs or any senior dogs: insulin injection, oral medication, etc. This customized care can be added to any walk, run or drop-in visit of any time length for a small extra fee.
