A little quieter than normal over here lately. 🖤

Paisley has been going through some health issues again, so when I’m not taking care of your kiddos, I’ve been trying to spend a little extra time taking care of one of my own. 🥰🐾

With that being said, you guys have been keeping me BUSY! Vacation care is officially completely booked October 1st–21st. 🍂

Friendly reminder: If you go to book & see dates blocked on the schedule, you’re always welcome to message me through the portal to double check! However, I cannot guarantee availability—most of the time, blocked dates mean I’ve reached my capacity for vacation care.

Happier at Home is a one person operation, so please allow up to 48 hours for non-urgent messages & scheduling requests. 🐾

One of my favorite things about our community is just how dog friendly it is. 🐾🖤

We absolutely love getting out, supporting local businesses & checking out all the fun events that welcome our four legged family members right along with us. 🐶✨

So grateful to live in a community that gives us so many opportunities to make memories together. 🥹🐾 Here’s to more local adventures, wagging tails & dog-friendly events! 🖤

🖤 SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY 🖤

When I’m not hanging out with your pets, you can usually find me supporting another local small business. 😊

Today’s adventure took me to Jackie Lee Apothecary to make my very own witch’s broom. 🧹✨ If you know me personally, you already know anything spooky, witchy or fall related is right up my alley. 😂

One thing I’ll always be passionate about is supporting the other small businesses that make up our community. As a small business owner myself, I know firsthand just how much every purchase, share, recommendation & kind word means.

So consider this your reminder to get out there, shop small, & support local whenever you can!

And I’m pretty dang proud of how my broom turned out. 😍

Happy Labrador Day Weekend! 🐾🇺🇸

…My mom says it’s actually LABOR DAY Weekend, but that sounds fake because why would there be an entire three day weekend that isn’t dedicated to us Labradors? 🤨

Anyway, I’ll be celebrating accordingly by shedding excessively, eating things I’m not supposed to, following my mom into every room, & contributing ABSOLUTELY zero labor. 🫡

Travel Volleyball & 2027 Availability

I always try to be proactive & transparent as possible when it comes to scheduling. So here’s an update!

As many of you know, Oakley will be trying out for travel volleyball team this fall. 🏐💛 Tournaments can involve travel throughout the Midwest, so my weekend availability January–March may be more limited than usual.

Tryouts are October 5th & 7th, with teams announced October 9th, so I’ll share my finalized availability once we know more & pin it to the top of my page! 🗓️🐾

For now, the remainder of 2026 is booking as normal, although October is already almost completely full! 🎃 Spring Break is currently in the clear & will open for booking in January. 🌸

Join us downtown for September First Fridays as Downtown South Bend goes to the dogs. Bring your furry friend for booths from animal rescue groups on The Gridiron, over 20 pet-friendly patios to dine at with your pup, and a best dressed dog costume contest.

Plus all your First Fridays favorites: the S. Michigan St. Block Party with food, vendors, and live music from The Dave VanDyke Review, an EV Display near the State Theater, and more happening throughout downtown.
