Our Green Bridge Growers team hustled at the end of our workweek to harvest and package 1200 pounds of produce in 24 hours! Along with other Indiana farmers, we assisted World Central Kitchen in feeding Gary citizens impacted by severe power outages the last two weeks. WCK is also supporting local farms like ours by compensating our produce at market value - a win-win for both growers and those in great need of food right now. Thanks to our friends at Northwest Indiana Food Policy Council for connecting us to this project to feed and support our fellow Hoosiers during their time of need.

Happy Fall Y’all!! We’ve been as busy as🐝s this season, harvesting our late season crops, tending our cool weather veggies, delivering to the Food Bank, winterizing our fields, celebrating Halloween, and decorating turnips and squashes like was done in the old days before pumpkins were a thing. Thanks to our Mercy Workers from Notre Dame Campus Ministry who serve so compassionately and thoughtfully every week. We are grateful for the many ways the community partners with us to make a difference!

Today and everyday, we’re grateful to share the GBG story and the many outstanding contributions autistic individuals bring to the workplace.

After struggling in his role as an environmental researcher, Chris realized the work environment didn't work for his needs. So he decided to start his own farm where he could not only meet his own needs, but employ other autistic individuals and give them proper support too.

Now his company, Green Bridge Growers, has helped over 40 people on the spectrum gain skills to prepare them to find employment. Read his story at https://www.autismspeaks.org/blog/chris-tidmarsh-plowing-path-employment-other-autistic-adults-green-bridge-growers
