This Pet Hydration Awareness Month, we’re sharing signs every dog owner should look for to keep their pet safe! Keep your dog’s tail wagging all summer long by giving them access to lots of water and seeking professional help if you notice any of these symptoms.

As we are very aware of the heat for our heath and children, please remember this heat is dangerous for our fur friends too.

As the summer goes on, the temperatures continue to climb. There has been a heat advisory issued for our area. This means, it's time to start making responsible decisions as pet owners. If you're going out and running errands, even if you think it's a "quick stop", DO NOT leave your pet in your car. DOGS DIE IN HOT CARS. If you see a dog in a hot car CALL TCAC or your local PD! Use your best judgement and make every effort to contact Animal Control, the owner inside the store, or the police before breaking someone's car window. You can be held civilly liable if you take matters into your own hands. The dog could escape or possibly become fearful and protective over it's property, resulting in injury to the "rescuer". Again, please don't leave your pets inside hot cars and call if you see an animal in distress!
