šŸ¾ Meet Brivon! šŸˆ

Brivon is a beautiful grey tabby with enchanting green eyes and a few adorably unique traits.
Brivon is always down for a good session of neck scritches. You'll know you've hit the spot once you see her signature move - letting her tiny tongue stick out of her mouth! Once she's received sufficient neck scritches, her energetic side may come out; her feather wand toy is a definite favorite of hers when she's feeling playful. After a long, happy day full of scritches and chasing feathers, her favorite place to lounge is her cat tree.

Now, don't let her calm personality and petite frame fool you. A unique quirk about Brivon is her meow. If you've ever seen the Simpsons and remember the character Selma, picture her voice coming out of a cat's mouth. That's what this sweet girl sounds like!

Brivon is great around other cats and dogs in the house, and does very well with children of all ages. Brivon just asks that she isn't picked up constantly, as she is just fine getting around on her own four legs. At the end of the day, as long as she gets her neck scritches, she'll be happy.

This virtual volunteer role helps our adoptable cats find the families theyā€™ve been waiting for. Youā€™ll work with fosters and potential adopters, process applications, answer emails, and help make those exciting adoption matches happen! šŸ”šŸ±

Another Happy Tail's Tuesday!!

"Weā€™ve had our dog for a little over one month so I thought I would give you an update.

We renamed her Millie. She loves dogs, but barks at them (and squirrels, rabbits and birds) on walks. But training starts next Wednesday so we hope to end that behavior!

We have dog sat a couple of times over the month. After some barking at each other, they eventually settle down.

Millie has a habit of eating worms, so walks on the street or gutters require a short leash. This is probably a habit she picked up when she was a stray.

Our daughter is looking forward to meeting her when she comes home from Iowa City later this month.

We love Millie a lot and appreciate your family taking care of her for a few weeks!"

šŸ¾ Meet Navis! šŸˆ

Navis is an especially handsome boy with his gray and white coat and soft fur. He looks charming on the outside, but he's actually pretty shy. It takes Navis a while to warm up to people. But with a patient caretaker, his personality is sure to break through in the most rewarding way.

Despite his nervousness, Navis can't resist a feather wand. Not-so-deep down, he's incredibly playful and athletic, and has been known to do a backflip - and stick the landing! - while chasing his feather toy. He's not a fan of being picked up and might still get scared around whoever's holding the wand, but he'll continue his chase regardless. If he could talk, he might say, "Don't touch me! But keep flinging that feather around!"

A home with another playful cat would be wonderful for this sweet boy; he'd love a playmate, specifically a gentle one who will make him feel safe and secure. He can also handle children pretty well, as long as they're respectful of his boundaries. But Navis really just needs someone who sees his potential and is willing to show him the love and respect he deserves. With patience, love, understanding, and a feather wand toy, Navis will show you what a sweet, special boy he is.

Josh is a young adult poodle mix with the most enthusiastic puppy energy. He is great with everyone, including kids, cats, and other dogs. Dear Future Family,

Hi there! My name is Ms. White, and I may be a little different from the other kitties, but I promise I have just as much love to give. ā¤ļø

I was born with a suspected spinal cord injury, which means my little legs donā€™t work quite like everyone elseā€™s. But donā€™t you worry about me! Iā€™ve mastered the art of scooting around, and I can get just about anywhere I want to go!

Iā€™m a professional napper, expert loaf maker, and a BIG fan of treats. Seriously, shake that treat jar and watch how fast I come scooting! I also love toys, watching my foster siblings cause trouble, and curling up on someoneā€™s chest for a good snuggle. If you talk to me, Iā€™ll reward you with the sweetest (and surprisingly loudest!) purrs.

Now, I do need a little extra help. Because of my injury, I donā€™t use the litter box on my own and will need diapers or potty pads. I know that might sound like a lot, but I promise my little heart makes up for the extra work. ā¤ļø

Iā€™m a little shy at first, so Iā€™d love a home with another kitten or a young, playful cat to help me feel comfortable. Gentle kiddos and dogs are welcome too!

I know my forever family might take a little longer to find. Not everyone is looking for a kitty who needs extra care, and thatā€™s okay. Iā€™m just hoping thereā€™s someone out there who will look past what I canā€™t do and see all the wonderful things I can.

I might not be able to jump into your lap, but Iā€™d sure love a spot in your heart.

Save your aluminum cans and drop them in our can trailer outside the TCPR office. Please rinse out any non drink cans before donating.
