The Bond Between is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that focuses on building the bond between humans and animals. Since then, we have rescued over 35,000+ dogs and cats with the help of thousands of fosters, volunteers, and supporters in our community. Our organization has grown from a rescue to a first-in-its-class animal well-being organization! We continue to provide safe shelter, proper vete

rinary care, and daily necessities for animals while working hard to help them build a bond with humans. We also focus on supporting the bonds that already exist between people and pets with our pet food shelf, respite foster care program, and focus on social services. We wake up every morning saying YES to connecting people and animals, caring for them, and helping them fill each other’s hearts.

For 74 days, Angel has been waiting.

She came into rescue in the middle of March, with her sister, Star. Star found her adoptive family quickly… but Angel? She’s still waiting.

She’s had zero applications and no one has expressed interest in her. And honestly? We’re shocked.

On paper, Angel checks every box. She's great with dogs, other cats, and with kids. And she’s litter box trained!!

But if you ask us, those are the least interesting things about her.

Angel is a gentle and affectionate girl with the sweetest soul. She can be a little shy when meeting new people or exploring new places, but once she feels safe… her personality begins to shine ✨

She LOVES belly rubs, enjoys exploring at her own pace, and loves to have lengthy conversations about your day! You need to vent about your coworker? Angel will happily gossip back with you 😜

Once she feels safe and begins to trust you, you will feel her love… because sometimes the animals who take a little longer to trust are the ones who love the deepest when they finally do 🥹

Angel has spent nearly 2.5 months waiting for her family to find her. Could that family be yours? Help us find Angel her home 🙏

It’s Friday night… so it’s only fitting that we introduce you to Mama Martini and her tiny tinis 🍸🥰

Martini came to rescue with her newborn babies and has been raising all ten puppies ever since. As a nod to their mama, each little is named after a classic martini garnish or mix-in… meet the crew:

Rescue takes a community to make change. And our community always steps up.

Our friends at have stepped up yet again… this time to support the Ridglan Beagles.

Loon is just one example of that. From being shy and timid to bouncing around the backyard and finding his howl. The best thing? He found his new family and will even have a doggo sibling 🥰

Sometimes the most motherly thing you can do is accept help… and that’s exactly what Piccolo did ❤

When Piccolo arrived in her foster home, she brought along a whole crew of musical instruments. Six tiny kittens who sang in little meows. At just 3 days old, their lives depended entirely on her.

And from the very beginning, Piccolo was everything a mama should be. Attentive. Gentle. Constantly curled around her babies... keeping them safe 🥹

But the very next day, everything changed.

Piccolo became critically ill and had to be rushed to the emergency vet. The team discovered she had lost her milk… and her babies hadn’t eaten in over 12 hours. Their tiny bodies were already beginning to weaken.

While Piccolo stayed behind to receive care, her foster mama stepped in without hesitation. She immediately began bottle feeding the babies every 1-1.5 hours. They had lost a dangerous amount of weight... we weren't sure if they would all survive.

Through sleepless nights and endless care, their foster mama loved them the way Piccolo would have. She kept them warm. She kept them fed. And she loved them. During that time, Piccolo was also fighting. Fighting her way back to the babies who needed her.

And when she finally did? She stepped right back into her role. Cleaning them. Warming them. Loving them in every way she could… even without milk. And something beautiful happened in that moment.

She realized she didn’t have to do it alone anymore. Piccolo trusted her foster mama completely. They cared for the kittens side by side. They were a team 🥰

Unfortunately and despite every effort, one of the kittens didn't make it. Through that loss, Piccolo and her foster mom formed a bond. A bond between two mothers who had given their all.

And now? Their little family is healthy and strong. These kittens are playful, rambunctious, and resilient. They know what love is... and they are nearly ready to bring their love (and musical meows) into homes of their own ❤

Their individual personalities are beginning to form and their little wiggles are getting stronger every day... soon they will be romping around! It’s amazing how much can change in just a few days when you’re this small 🥰

Do you remember Drift?! We shared her story a couple months ago. She is our happy go lucky puppy that was found cold, limping, and all alone at only 3ish months old 😔

We don't know exactly what happened to Drift before she joined rescue, but we do know that her front leg was broken when she was just a little baby.

The beginning of her life wasn’t the easiest, but now? Drift now goes by Sadie... because she found her family 🥹🥰

She found love. A family that wanted to help her through recovery. A family that wanted to support her. And they’ve done just that…

Because unfortunately, Sadie’s leg didn’t heal as we hoped. She recently needed to have her leg amputated.

We think the growth plate was traumatized during her original injury. Even though her fracture healed, she was in pain… barely placing weight on her leg 💔

A surgery and recovery process can be expensive. The unexpected cost can set a family back. Luckily, our friends at 15/10 Foundation covered the cost of the fracture treatment AND the leg amputation.

Sadie’s family didn’t have to worry about the unexpected cost. They could simply focus on her recovery. They could focus on loving her. They could focus on just being her family 🥹

Sadie is already adjusting to tripod life. And honestly? Nothing has changed other than her physical leg being gone. Her personality is still the exact same… happy go lucky ❤️

The adoption journey has officially begun for our Ridglan Farms beagles 🥹

Many of our beagles have already found their homes. The best part? Half of the ones who’ve found their homes have been there all along… in their foster homes 🥰

Only 4 of the 30 beagles that we brought into our rescue were females, but those 4 mamas will never have another litter again. All of these beagles will now become the baby of their family.

Some of these dogs have transformed from shy, apprehensive puppies into snuggle companions. They’ve discovered the joys of warm beds, freshly mowed grass, toys, and kisses.

We still have some resilient souls decompressing at their own pace so keep your eyes on our website for when they are ready to begin their journey ☺️
