Doberman Rescue Minnesota DRM is an all volunteer, nonprofit 501C, charitable organization founded in 1999. We are dedicated to all homeless Dobermans and finding the best possible home for all Dobermans that come into our adoption program. The decisions and recommendations regarding surrendering or adopting a Doberman are based primarily on what is in the best interest of the dog and are guided b

y many years of experience with this special breed. We care as much about the quality of life for all Dobermans in our program as we do our own dogs. Every Doberman that comes into our program is considered a "lucky Doberman" as they do find a loving forever home. DRM is dedicated to each and every dog that comes through our program for the dogs entire life, no matter what, per our adoption contract. Dobermans in our foster program live in private homes with foster families who evaluate the Doberman for temperament and behavior traits, give them structure and play and interact with them. so we can make recommendations on the best type of home for our dogs. To adopt, we do have specific adoption requirements for adopters, and do require a home visit by one of our dedicated volunteers prior to adoption to ensure all our dogs are going to safe forever homes. If you need to surrender your Doberman, for your pets safety and well being, please do not place your beloved pet on Facebook or Craigslist but contact us directly as we are dedicated to every Doberman that is in need of help. Doberman Rescue Minnesota is committed to teaching about responsible pet ownership and the Doberman breed. We do know this breed is not for everyone, Dobermans can have super high energy release requirements, extraordinary intelligence that needs stimulation and are demanding dogs, in your face, that require a strong leader, willing to work and socialize them every day to be the magnificent. Our organization networks with other rescues and shelters across the US and is willing to help where ever needed. We will always assist other organizations when possible.

🐾 Pipkin needs a forever home or foster!🐾

Remember Gertie? She’s back with us, now named Pipkin, and this 2.5-year-old girl is ready for her right match. 💜

Pipkin is a fun-loving, energetic, fetch-obsessed Doberman who will chase a ball or stick all day and then happily crash on the couch with her people. 🎾🛋️

She’s house trained, trustworthy loose in the home, sleeps through the night, and is incredibly food motivated!

But Pipkin needs a home that understands her quirks. She has a **high prey drive, so NO CATS**, and she can be reactive and pushy with other dogs. She’ll need slow introductions, continued training, structure, and an experienced person willing to help her succeed. She’s also slower to warm up to men and does best with calm introductions.

✨ Her ideal home:
🐾 No cats or small animals
🐾 Preferably an only-dog home
🐾 Active, experienced family
🐾 Older, dog-savvy kids (8+)
🐾 Someone who loves training, fetch & adventure!

Pipkin is sweet, silly, active, and full of potential. She doesn’t need a perfect home, she needs the *right* one. ❤️

Remember those fleece scraps we asked you to save? HERE’S WHERE THEY GO! 🧡🐾

Our amazing volunteers have been turning those little scraps into tie toys, snuffle balls, and now… PATCHWORK BLANKETS!!!🥰

This incredible mother-daughter duo spent their weekend sewing together leftover scraps to create beautiful, cozy blankets for our foster dogs. 🧵🧡

It’s just one more example of how every little thing makes a BIG difference in rescue.

Leo needs a new foster or adopter!!

Leo is a fun-loving, playful 5-year-old who brings smiles wherever he goes. He has a goofy, affectionate personality and is a total mush when it comes to his people.

Whether he's snuggling on the couch or soaking up attention, Leo is happiest when he's close to his family. Leo gets along well with other female dogs and does great with both kids and adults.

While he can sometimes be redirected around cats, he would do best in a cat-free home to set everyone up for success. This handsome boy has recovered beautifully from heartworm treatment and is gradually getting back to all the activities he loves.

Leo is house-trained and kennel trained, although his foster family doesn't need to use the crate often anymore. He's also an excellent passenger in the car—he hops right in, settles in the back seat, and rides quietly like a gentleman.

With his sweet nature, playful spirit, and love of cuddles (just don't tuck him under the blankets!), Leo is ready to find a forever family to share all of life's adventures with.

Tia is a sweet, affectionate girl who is still patiently waiting for her forever family. ❤️

She does wonderfully with her three resident Doberman foster siblings and has fully embraced a life filled with toys, playtime, and fun.

Overall, she is truly as easy as they come!! Tia is excellent for baths, nail trims, Dremel work, ear care, and teeth cleaning—you can do just about anything with her, and she takes it all in stride.

This girl is a total love bug who thrives on attention and affection. She has an old injury to one of her hind feet, so she’s not a candidate for long walks or running, but she’s perfectly content enjoying time in her own yard.

Tia would be a wonderful match for a calm, laid-back home where she can relax and be cherished. She has no known experience with cats.

She is healthy, happy, and so ready to find the loving home she deserves. 🥹🐾

Looking for a goofy boy who never wants to leave your side? Adoptable Killian is just your guy!❤️🐾

This handsome gentle giant is the definition of a Velcro dog. He wants to be wherever his people are, soaking up all the love and attention he can get. He’s goofy, affectionate, playful, and absolutely convinced that there is no such thing as too much attention. 😂❤️

Killian loves having guests over, enjoys playing with his foster family’s Doberman, and is happiest when he gets to be part of the action.

Now he’s looking for a forever family who is ready for a goofy, loving, slightly high-maintenance Velcro boy who will happily follow you around for the rest of his life. 🥹💙

Because really… who doesn’t want a best friend who thinks you’re the most interesting person in the entire world?

Puppy Bruno needs a foster or adopter! 🤎🖤

Meet Bruno, a handsome 7-month-old Doberman who is looking for a home that can keep up with his young-dog energy and help him become the best boy he can be!

Bruno is a small, neutered, crate trained, housebroken, and has completed puppy school. He knows sit, wait, stay, and his mealtime manners. He loves meeting people and gets excited before settling down.

Bruno is your average active puppy and needs someone experienced who can provide exercise, structure, and continued training. He currently wants to chase cars, people, and other dogs while on walks and will bark when he sees other dogs.

• Lives with a cat & Yorkie
• Has not been around children
