An Empire Gudgeon showing off their true color!

When trying to impress a female gudgeon, male Empire Gudgeons (Hypseleotris compressa) flare up to this vibrant orange with white edges to their fins. They grow to about 4 inches and are considered peaceful, though they will likely hunt down small invertebrates or fish that would fit in their mouth.
