Sometimes the smallest things make the biggest difference.

A kind word. A little patience. Taking the time to listen. Reaching out to someone just because you were thinking about them.
We don't always know what someone else is carrying, and we may never know how much one small act of kindness meant at exactly the right moment.

Be kind whenever you can.
It matters.

Wild patients. Same purpose.

This National Wildlife Day is a little extra special for us.
Dr. Laurie will soon be heading to Africa with a group of veterinarians to work with the wildlife.
A very different group of patients from the pups you usually see around here!
But the reason behind the work is the same: using veterinary medicine to help animals live healthier, more comfortable lives.

We’re excited to follow along and share some of the experience with you.

Happy National Wildlife Day!

Nutrition plays a role in nearly every aspect of a pet’s health and how well they age.

Muscle health. The microbiome. Inflammation. Body composition. Mobility. Cognitive health. Healthy aging.
And as the science of nutrition continues to evolve, so does our understanding of how nutrition can help support a pet throughout every stage of life.

For veterinary professionals, that knowledge matters.
Pet parents are faced with more choices and more conflicting information than ever before. They’re asking about kibble, raw, fresh and home-prepared diets. Ingredients. Supplements. The microbiome. Processing. And what they can do now to help their pets stay healthier as they age.

They need veterinary professionals who are prepared to help them navigate those decisions.

That’s why we created Modern Veterinary Nutrition: From Kibble to Raw.

This professional course goes beyond asking “What should we feed?” and explores the bigger question:
How can nutrition help us support the healthspan of the individual animal?

Because the goal isn’t simply more years.
It’s more healthy years.

20 hours of RACE-approved CE
15 expert instructors
24 modules
Online + self-paced

For veterinary professionals: invest in the knowledge that can change the nutrition conversations you have with clients and potentially the lives of the pets they love.

A healthy microbiome needs more than “good bacteria.

As Dr. Chris Bessent explains, one of the pieces we can easily overlook is fiber.
We now have an incredible amount of scientific evidence showing just how much the gut microbiome influences health. But supporting those beneficial organisms also means creating an environment where they can establish themselves and thrive.
And when inflammation is still present? That can be a sign that there’s more to consider, from fiber to omega-3 fatty acids and other nutritional strategies.

It’s a great reminder that nutrition isn’t about looking at one ingredient, supplement, or symptom in isolation. It’s about looking at the whole animal.
