If you're planning a Labor Day road trip with your pet, now is the perfect time to prepare. Pack enough food, medications, fresh water, and a favorite toy or blanket. Make sure your pet wears current ID tags, and check that their microchip information is up to date before you leave. Safe planning helps make every trip more enjoyable. 🐾

πŸ’¬ Is your dog the perfect road trip buddy, or do they prefer staying home? We'd love to hear!

MYTH: If I keep trying different shampoos or sprays, the itching will eventually stop.

FACT: Medicated shampoos can be an important part of treatment, but they usually work best alongside a diagnosis and treatment plan. Allergies, infections, parasites, and hormonal conditions can all cause itchy skin, and each requires a different approach.

πŸ“ž If your pet's itching isn't improving, let's work together to find the cause: (612) 607-0044

As the kids head back to school, many pets suddenly find themselves spending more time alone. This change in routine can lead to separation anxiety, which may show up as excessive barking, destructive behavior, pacing, accidents in the house, or loss of appetite. Creating a consistent schedule, providing enrichment toys, and practicing short departures can help your pet adjust more comfortably. If you notice ongoing signs of stress, our team is here to help.

Congratulations, Julia πŸŽ‰ She recently qualified for the opportunity and passed her exam, and the timing could not be better.

A quick note on what changed: As of July 1, 2026, Minnesota moved veterinary technicians from Certified (CVT) to Licensed (LVT). The title is now protected by law, which means only people who have graduated an accredited veterinary technology program, passed national board exams, and met state licensing requirements can call themselves a veterinary technician.

The care your pet receives does not change. The recognition does. It puts a legal name on the education and skill our technicians have been bringing to work all along.

We're proud of you, Julia!

If your dog could make today's to-do list, it might look something like this...

🐢 More belly rubs.
🎾 More playtime.
🦴 More treats. (They're definitely voting yes.)
🚢 Longer walks.
❀️ More time with you.
