Firestorm Goldens As a small in-home breeder of Golden Retrievers, we strive to preserve the health, temperament, and structure of the breed.

We promote producing dogs that can be all-around dogs, from hunting to performance to therapy or service work. We believe in breeding to better the breed. Our goal with our breeding program is to breed golden retrievers that fit the original standard. Our dogs are always fully health tested before breeding, we prefer that they have several titles as well. All of our dogs are AKC registered and hav

We want to clear up any confusion/concerns anyone may have had about Flare's missing eye OFAs (for 25-26).

Flare's last posted Eye OFA certification was completed June 22 2024.

This is completely an error on our end. Flare did have her eyes tested June 21 2025! We misplaced the papers and did not realize we had not submitted them. They have since been submitted and should show up on the OFA website soon.

She has not yet had her eyes tested for 2026 because she was pregnant at the time of the show we normally attend for eye certifications. We did not want to risk Flare's or the puppies health by stressing her with traveling, strange dogs, or the test itself. Now that the puppies are at an age that Flare can safely leave them for several hours, we will be scheduling an exam at our local eye specialty clinic.

We do follow the GRCA code of ethics for health testing. Please message us if you have any questions! And if you'd like to see her past results, we are more than happy to show them.

The puppies have been busy growing like weeds and changing everyday!

--> Their eyes and ears are open.
--> They've begun toddling around.
--> They have found their voices.
--> They've started teething.

The puppies have been loving to meet approved visitors and get lots of snuggles. They love to sit and just look or listen to people and things around the whelping room. Their favorite things right now are their giant pretzel and of course the milkbar.

We do still have a few females available. There are no males available at this time. Our wait-list is open for our future litters and you can find that pinned to the top of the page.

We are beyond excited to announce the first litter at Firestorm Goldens (formerly Sweet Treat Retrievers)!

Grapevine's Turbocharged MH WCX CCA × Cinnamon Maple Mayhem TKA CGCU

This pairing is a beautiful combination of temperament, structure, drive, and longevity. These dogs are not only fantastic hunting partners but also great family companions. Both dogs have fully CLEAR DNA panels and are OFA tested according to the GRCA code of ethics.

Puppies will be raised with ENS and ESI, as well as introduced to a variety of other stimuli to set them up for success. Our puppies are primarily available to active or working homes, including but not limited to: hunting, SAR, sports, service work, and therapy work. However, some exceptions may be made for active companion homes.

We are incredibly grateful to all of the breeders and mentors who have made this litter possible, including Maple Dreams Golden Retrievers for breeding such wonderful dogs. Cinnamon Maple Mayhem TKA CGCU "Flare"

Flare is a 5 year old golden retriever. She is a deep golden color with a moderate coat. She weighs around 54 lbs and stands at just about 21 1/2". Her lines are heavily focused on hunting and performance. They've also kept in mind how structure plays a key roll in both of those jobs.

Flare is always eager to please and is a quick learner. She is a skilled in the field and loves to chase down lost birds. Our goal is to trial at a hunt test within the next few years. She's training and competed in obedience, rally, agility, dock diving, and fastcat. She has also started therapy work recently.

Flare was also a great 4-H dog for our daughter for 4 years. She won many grand champions and reserve champions in various events, including rally, brace and obedience. She has also earned high placing awards at the Minnesota 4-H State Dog Show.

Flare is a very level-headed dog who is great in many environments. She loves to be amped up during play or sports and is happy to just relax at home on the couch. She prefers to be around her people and is dog-neutral, but doesn't mind cuddling up or playing with her housemates too. She's your traditional goofy, attention-loving golden.

Although Flare does not have many titles yet, we plan to pursue them in performance and sport venues. She does have legs towards rally and fastcat titles with goals to complete those this year. We did have a mixup with AKC and her current titles, so please let us know if you have any questions!

Poppy is a 4 year old golden retriever. She is a light golden color with a very moderate coat. She weighs 58 lbs and stands at about 21 1/4". Her lines are heavily focused on hunting and field trials/hunt tests.

Poppy is driven and handler-oriented. She is an excellent hunting dog, with a great nose and has even found deer sheds out in the field. Our goal is to trial at a hunt test within the next few years. She's training and competed in rally, agility, dock diving, and fastcat.

Poppy has been a great 4-H dog for several youth handlers. She has won multiple grand champions and reserve champions in various events, including agility and rally. She has also earned high placing awards at the Minnesota 4-H State Dog Show.

Although Poppy does not have many titles yet, we plan to pursue them in performance and sport venues. She does have legs towards rally and fastcat titles with goals to complete those this year. We did have a mixup with AKC and her current titles, so please let us know if you have any questions!

Unfortunately Poppy was recently diagnosed with Hypothyroidism, which is most likely genetic. She should luckily live a long life now that it is being managed. It however should not be in a breeding dog and she will be spayed (she has never had a litter).
