Edited to add 💦 WATER bowl is removed to clean and then put back. My birds do not have food at night only water. They are fed first thing in the AM as this I a rescue and my life evolves around their care. They are my full time job!
The focus of the post was simply a reminder to CLEAN BOWLS!

Please remove all of your parrot’s food bowls at night — and be sure they’re cleaned thoroughly every single day. Think of it this way: you wouldn’t eat off dirty dishes… and neither should they!

It truly never ceases to amaze me how many bowls come in here absolutely filthy. I’ve received bowls full of mold, layers of old food caked like cement at the bottom, and people just kept adding fresh food on top. 💔 Absolutely disgusting — and so easily prevented.

Daily cleaning doesn’t take long. Take the bowl out at night, wash it, and have it ready for the next morning. 🌅
If I can manage this with around 50 birds in my house, I promise — you can absolutely do it too! 💪🧼

And just for fun… in our house, this is actually hubby’s job upstairs, and I handle all the bowls downstairs. 🤣 It’s so much easier now that I finally have hot water downstairs, so I’m not hauling bowls up and down anymore!

Cockatiel still available! $175$$
This is a precious little bird. He/She stays on my shoulder, walks all through the house with me on my shoulder. He/She loves to play with your face. He/She was flighty, and I started taking up a little bit more time with him or her because it got flighty. So now she stays on my shoulders . Her wings are cut, but he/she can fly.  Love to stand on my phone.
