Bio:
Sweet Sadie spent a year in a Texas foster home after being rescued from deplorable conditions. She spent the first couple years of her life on a hoarding property with over 70 dogs!
It has taken Sadie ample time to come out of her shell, and she still has a long way to go, but a dedicated home will help her live her best life.
Sadie is fostered with several other dogs, and has spent time with cats. She pays the kitties no mind. She is very jumpy as far as loud noises, and does still hide at times. Current nooks and crannies of preference include the guest bathroom or pantry in her foster home. What helps Sadie come out of her shell? Letting her sleep in your bed. It has made a world of difference! She does also enjoy hanging with the humans on the couch, even when company is over.
Sadie requires a fully fenced yard, no exceptions. While she is considered a flight risk- this is not because she actively tries to elope. She is still very frightened of walking too far or doing her business on leash. Her foster family continues to work on this, but the gal needs what she needs.
Though new things can be scary for Sadie, she does cooperate. She lets her humans pick her up, trim her nails, etc without growling or nipping.
Sadie gets very excited for meal time, but can still be shy when taking treats. She has played with other dogs some, but isn’t much for toys.
House training is a continued work in progress. She often has to be coaxed outdoors, but enjoys her time in the yard once there.
While another dog would help her learn the routine of a new home, she would also do just fine as a single dog with an adopter who has had dogs before, especially if experienced with the shyer set.
Sadie isn’t shy about barking at sights seen outdoors such as letter carriers, squirrels, etc and the “window channel” is a favorite pass time. Applying for her is not recommended if you share a wall with neighbors.
This special girl has waited so long, but we know it will be worth it when her special home comes along!

Bio:
We don’t know what shines brighter, Leon’s sparkling white teeth or his winning personality! While Leon is initially a bit shy, he takes a short time to warm up and is so affectionate! Leon adores other dogs, and is working hard at learning cues from dogs who may want to sit the romp session out. Leon loves toys, but will need continued help differentiating between play things and shoes/remotes. (Its best to keep them out of his reach as he gets into a routine). Leon is crate comfortable, but always excited to see you when you get home.
He is getting into a nice routine with going outside for potty time, and is always super happy to receive a snack for a job well done. Playtime either alone with toys or with other dogs, and couch snuggles with people or other dogs are favorite pass times.
Leon is finishing out a course of oral antibiotics as he was diagnosed with tick borne illness in Texas, but he takes his pill easy peasy with meals. He has a healthy appetite, and is ready to make some best friends for life!

Name: Calvin
Age: 7 months
Breed: stumpy little chi mix
Gender: male
Weight: 9.5 lbs

Missing limbs: right rear

Bio: Reislience has a (handsome) face! Calvin was found as a pup with a fractured femoral head of unknown origin. Amputation was his best chance at a normal life, and please believe that missing leg stops him from NOTHING!
Calvin has no trouble navigating a couple stairs, flying across the yard, or getting onto lower furniture. As is the need for limb removal wasn’t enough for a young dog to endure, he also underwent cherry eye repair at the same time. Now, its just soulful and healthy brown eyes staring at you adoringly!
While he is a doggy pal loving sweet snuggle bug, Calvin also comes with his quirks.
He can be very stubborn and is set in his ways for a youngster.
Calvin walks well on a leash, but if theres someone he wants to meet and you keep try to keep strolling- not happening. He’ll give a good screech and plant his feet, and you will be making that person’s acquaintance!
He is also not a fan of other dogs near him when he is ready to crash. He enjoys resting/sleeping in a kennel and will get grumpy with any dogs who bug him while he is snuggled in on the furniture. (Who could blame him?!)
Once he’s had his rest, he is ready to romp around with doggy pals and play with toys once again!
Calvin doesn’t bark often- but will if he is getting amped with another dog. If you share a wall with neighbors this is something to keep in mind if he wouldn’t be a solo dog.
Calvin loves car rides and does well going to work with foster mom. He is great at meeting new people, but is mouthy when he gets super excited. He is working hard on more polite play, but it may be best if he did not live with young children at this time.
Calvin doesn’t much like nail trims, but will pose we like a pro for every photo your heart desires, and is top notch company!

Pit bulls and rottweilers will no longer be singled out as dangerous dog breeds in the city of Milwaukee.

The Milwaukee Common Council unanimously voted to amend the city's animal code to say an animal's behavior determines if it's dangerous, not its breed.

Age: 9 years
Breed: chi mix
Gender: male
Weight: 13 lbs
Good with kids: yes, he does tend to gently nibble noses when excited which is something to keep in mind
Good with dogs: yes, prefers calm dogs
Good with cats: yes
Current on vaccinations: Yes
Fixed: Yes
Adoption also includes Certified Vet Inspection, and Prior vetting paperwork.
Foster location: Green Bay
Application & Website: https://www.ourpackanimalrescue.com/adoption.html Bio: When we say senior swag, this is what we mean. While this gentleman can be a bit shy, he is top notch sweet. Napoleon found himself at a local shelter after his loving owner had to move to a senior care facility. We were honored to be asked to welcome him, and he is a lovely house guest. He enjoys the outdoors, but will occasionally lift a leg inside. In his defense, he is fostered with several other male dogs- and at times it seems to be a literal contest 🤭 Napoleon resides in a foster home with several other small dogs. He gets along with everyone well, but does grumble when the hyper dog in the house goes bolting by, and has shown a smidge of jealousy with a new foster but has been easily redirected. Meals and high value treats such as bones should be enjoyed in his own space, but sharing a dog bed suits him just fine. While on the subject of eating, Napoleon is on a salmon based food and an allergy medication called Zenrelia. (2 months worth is priced at 75.00 on Chewy) If you’re taking a seat, you just may find him snuggled in between you and the arm of the couch. This quiet guy could hang in an apartment without disturbing the neighbors- and would love to go for a car ride here and there. This gentle shrunken-shepherd looking dude is looking for company thats as exquisite as his!
