Board and train, enrichment boarding on my farm. Pro trainer and behavior consultant 20 + years. No force, no fear! Modern, progressive training methods only.

Wild Canine offers group classes at Central Bark Mequon, and Community Bark in Bayview and Bayside. Classes are limited to six dogs to ensure a relaxed, low-stress environment and individual attention for each dog/human pair. Positive reinforcement helps build motivation, attention span, desirable behavior and is just plain fun. Wild Canine offers in-home consultations for dogs who are fearful, reactive or aggressive. We will help you put in place a solid management plan and teach your dog how to cope calmly through systematic behavior modification. We will help you understand your dog and teach you how to change their behavior for the better.

Young Scout just arrived for his board and train stay yesterday and it’s safe to say he’s already having a great time here at the farm! 💚

A successful public outing starts with waiting to be released from the car. Here Buddy the Bernedoodle rehearses waiting until released using the “up and down” game from Control Unleashed. Buddy looooooves the world so adding in some pause points helps him stay centered as the good boy that he is 🥳🩷

Start off your new year with an infusion of lighthearted fun and serious skill building by joining Wild Canine’s Big Top Pups online circus class!
In this seven week class, you and your dog will learn how to combine foundational platform work, level one circus tricks, basic directional sends and hula hoop jumps to create a free-flowing and fast-paced circus performance.
To join you must have: a dog who loves to learn, a platform like a Klimb or Cato board (even an ottoman will do), a hula hoop, two large-ish traffic cones or any other larger vertical object, a treat pouch, treats and a readiness to be creative and have fun.
Class material is released every Monday at 11 am and I am available during set office hours online in our Facebook group.
This class is appropriate for most any dog and handler pair and can be modified for older dogs/puppies 12 weeks and up.

Class runs once a week for 7 weeks and the fee is $150. Start date is Monday February 17th. Please let me know if you have any questions and if you would like to join! Class is force-free, dog centric and utilizes positive reinforcement. I can't wait to see you there and please don't hesitate to reach out with questions either through messenger or a comment below. See you under the big top!

Vinny loves playing mat games out in the world but carrying a GSD sized mat can be cumbersome. Today we played with reducing the size of the mat so that the mat is more like a “mark” for movie dogs. That way his human can bring a mat along in her pocket - how functional! We started by folding his big mat and quickly progressed to a dish towel. Expanding concepts is a cool way to broaden a skill set and see a dog’s brain in action. Also, it’s just fun 🤩

I got to see Bondi in her home for her first transfer lesson. She did utterly fantastic on her walk when seeing other dogs and her human settled in to practicing their new skills. Board and Train works! 🤍
