As we all know, tick levels are super high this summer. The Wisconsin DHS is reporting that the nymph stage of deer ticks are really high. Nymphal ticks are super small, and you might not see them until they are attached and full. They are about 1-2mm- about the size of a poppy seed and can spread lyme disease! Make sure to apply/give your Flea and Tick preventative monthly year-round!

With tick activity reaching its peak for the season, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) continues to closely monitor tick activity, with the most recent surveillance data showing nymphal deer (blacklegged) ticks are currently driving the trend.

Even in Wisconsin winters, parasites don’t completely disappear.
Heartworm, fleas, and intestinal parasites can still pose risks.

Prevention is easier (and cheaper) than treatment. We carry Credelio Quattro (oral heartworm, flea, and tick) and Proheart 12 (injectable heartworm prevention).
