Our first batch of branded swag has come in🎉😁. We are pretty excited and couldn’t wait to share some pics with everyone. We’ll get some better shots soon when the lighting is a bit better. The cloth totes are our favorite item with the fridge magnets a close seccond.

We are so excited with our new logo we cannot wait to put it on more items!

We have been busy in the kitchen here at monkey Bear farm making some fresh treats just in time for your gifting needs.

Maple sugar candy in various holiday themed shapes and sizes, yeah these are great for stockings!

Maple fudge made from our own pure maple syrup.

Lots of maple sugar in various sizes.

And of course the shelves are stocked with our very own pure NH maple syrup.

Locally made foods make great gifts and filling for gift baskets. A sugar, syrup, and candy in a small gift bag and whoa and behold, The perfect “NH made” gift 🎁.

Maple syrup still in stock out in our sugar house. Many sizes to choose from and three grades available. Syrup makes an excellent locally made gifting choice this time of year. Looking for a unique gift for party host, yeah, syrup is it! Stocking stuffers, you can’t go wrong.

Maple syrup and sugar can be used for baking as well. The pure maple sugar can be used 1:1 replacing other refined sugar. It really shines as a treat topping on cookies and cupcakes. Sprinkle it on popcorn for a delicious and more nutritious alternative to butter.

EGGS are sold out today

With the change in weather now giving us snow and cold, we are only bringing eggs out on weekends and only weather permitting. Once temps go below freezing for a few hours the fridge stops and eggs will freeze so we have to pull them.

Back to business out in the maple woods this weekend. The new pump house and sap mainlines were completed this summer, it took all summer but we did it. Now we are getting the lateral lines run out to the individual trees and attaching them to the mainline. The red clamp holds the drill bit secure for a perfect hole to which the saddle wraps over. Finally we attach the lateral line and move to the next one. Once these are done we head out and add the drop lines from each tree to the laterals. If all goes well this new setup may increase our sap collections by 25-30%.

Winter chicks update!

We count 14 +\- 🐥. It’s hard to get an accurate count when they are running about. 2 days old and momma has them outside for the day already. At least they have plenty of down to keep warm.

Seems we will have a batch of winter chicks to raise on the farm. This chicken broke back into the old coop and is hatching out a new batch of chicks this evening. Tomorrow we will see just how many there are. About 8 as of this video 😁
