We had a unique opportunity to transport an adult female Redtail Hawk to a Wildlife Rehab Facility today! Kendra was driving her son from their home in Rochester, NH to his Dad's in Manchester, NH and she saw a large bird on the side of the highway who was clearly in very rough shape. She pulled over, backed up a bit closer, opened her tailgate and grabbed a small blanket. Kendra was a bit nervous upon realizing it was a full size Hawk as cars whizzed by, so she quickly made a plan. She tossed the blanket over the Hawk, who didn't react much to it, so she went for it, grabbed the Hawk, and carefully loaded her into a large crate in the back of Kendra's pickup used to transport farm animals. After connecting with several friends, Kendra was put in touch with Wings Wildlife Rehab in Henniker, NH and the kind woman there said to come right on over! Prayers for the Hawk 🙏 she's in good, knowledgeable care now. ❤️🙏
