Dear Valued Clients,
We want to share an important update regarding doctor availability at Ferstl Veterinary Hospital.
At this time, Dr. Ferstl continues to recover and, while he is making progress, he is not yet able to return to work. We remain hopeful for his continued improvement; however, we are currently planning our schedule under the assumption that he will remain unavailable when our relief veterinarian departs.
Our current relief veterinarian will also be unavailable beginning in June. At this time, we have not yet secured a replacement.
What this means for you:
• We anticipate little to no appointment availability from June through December
• Remaining appointments are filling quickly
• Once full, we will not be able to accommodate additional appointments
What you should do now:
• Schedule any upcoming vaccines or wellness visits as soon as possible
• Plan ahead for routine and preventative care
Medication Refills:
A current physical exam is required to continue prescription refills (including flea/tick and heartworm prevention).
If your pet’s exam is set to expire between now and the end of the year, we strongly recommend scheduling an appointment prior to June to avoid any interruption in medication access.
We understand this may be an inconvenience and truly appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate this situation. Our team remains committed to providing the highest level of care for your pets.
If you have questions or would like help scheduling, please contact our office.
Sincerely,
Ferstl Veterinary Hospital Team
P.S. If your pet needs care between June and December, please book now—appointments may not be available once our schedule is full.
