At this time I must let you know that I have made the heartbreaking and devastating decision I WILL NOT be reopening Gigi's Spiky Beans. This page will remain active until the end of May for you to share whatever information, pictures or whatever you want to share about your Spiky Bean. And then I will archive the page. I truly appreciate everyone that has given my animals new homes. And I hope they give you lots of laughs and love in return. ~~This is Gigi signing off for the last time. 💕💔

Ok so here is the update as promised on why I have had to put Gigi's Spiky Beans on hold.
February 7th I was admitted to the hospital. I at that time received a diagnosis of cancer on my spine and a confirmed diagnosis of breast cancer. They believe the cancer on my spine is breast cancer that has metasticised. Because the cancer is also in my lymphnodes. After being admitted to the hospital I had several other tests done and started being cared for by the oncology team. I spent 14 days in the hospital. They started me on the first part of my treatments before I was out of the hospital. The medicine that they have me on also causes bone weakness so I have to do an infusion to help strengthen my bones every 3 to 4 weeks. They have also added a second medicine which is a stronger dose of chemo. I am unsure as to how long I will be on this treatment. And unsure as to how my body will respond. But while I am on the chemo I am not allowed to touch the hedgies because of possible bacteria and with my immune system being compromised. A simple bacterial infection in a normal person could be major in my case. So unfortunately the decision had to be made to put them on hold until further notice. I truly appreciate all of you that have given babies homes. And have supported me the last couple of years. And I do look forward to being able to start breeding them again as soon as I am able. I will do my best to keep you all updated. I am fighting this with everything I can.

Gigi's Serpents will be vending the Jackson, Tn CF exotic pet expos this coming weekend. And will be selling my retired breeders. Since I will not be breeding during the heath situation I have going on right now. (I will explain more of this later). So will be selling all but just a couple of my adults. (Sentimental connection). So stop by and see him and take advantage of the last opportunity for a while to own a part of Gigi's Spiky Beans.

It is with an extremely heavy heart and sadness that I must inform you all Gigi's Spiky Beans will be shutting down until further notice. With this major health emergency that is going on with me. It is going to be a very long road to recovery. And I have to focus on making it through all of this. I will not be shutting the page down. You are more than welcome to continue to post pictures and updates. But as of now there will not be any new Spiky Beans until further notice.
Thank You all for you support the last few years. It has been wonderful sharing moments with you all. And I truly hope that somewhere along the way you were able to find your spiky best friend.

Unfortunately I must let you all know I will not be breeding again until possibly October. I have had a major health emergency happen. And have a long road ahead of me. And I have to focus on me. I currently have 4 babies available. But after those 4 babies are gone that will be the last of them until I am able to get through this health issue.
I do apologize. I love my little Spiky Beans and sharing them with everyone. And I plan to be back as soon as possible. Keep watch on the page for updates.
Also I just want to say a huge Thank You to the ones that have bought babies from me and helped support my little business. I couldn't have done any of this without you.

2 of our babies have gone to new homes in the last couple of days. I'm sure they will very loved little hedgies. I look forward to updates from anyone that has any hedgies from us.

We are set up at the All American Plant and Animal Expo at The Nashville Fairgrounds this weekend. Come see us and take home your new spiky best friend. We are set up with Gigi's Serpents. Look for us close to the otter encounter.

I know the page has been super quiet for a while. I had to take time to deal with the passing of my dad. But we are still here and here is the latest update.
We will be at the Nashville American Plant and Animal Expo October 24th thru 26th. If I still have babies left after that show I will have them at the CF exotic pet expos November 2nd. (That show is November 1st and 2nd. But I have another business conflict November 1st so will be there the 2nd with any available babies.) Gigi's Serpents will be there November 1st and 2nd.
And I am currently breeding to have babies that will be ready at Christmas to make the perfect Christmas present.
