Sweetness overload!!!

Today we welcomed Little Debbie and her three, stray snack cakes to our shelter💞

🍪 Little Debbie:
- estimated 2 years old
- unspayed female
- hound mix
- 43.6 pounds

⭐️ Star Crunch and 🍰 Zebra Cake
- estimated 6 months old
- unspayed females
- hound mixes
- 23 pounds
(The third puppy found a foster-to-adopt home moments after arriving!)

Little Debbie, Star Crunch, and Zebra Cake are all available to go foster-to-adopt! They need to undergo a 5 day stray hold to give any possible owner time to locate their missing pet and reclaim. If these sweet dogs aren’t reclaimed in that time frame, they can be spayed and then formally adopted! Adoption fee is $40 including the spay surgery cost, vaccinations, and a microchip. Seniors 2 Seniors Pet Food Pantry is open this weekend! 🙌

Senior citizens in Anne Arundel County, ages 55 and older, are welcome to stop by this weekend to get free pet food for their furry friends. Our pantry is open from 9 AM to 12 PM on Saturday, June 6th, and Monday, June 8th at SDS. We're located at 8336 W B & A Road in Severn. We hope to see you this weekend!

Our long-term residents are officially some of the best-kept secrets at the shelter. While many people assume a longer stay means a dog has some sort of adoption concern, that couldn't be further from the truth. Often, it’s just a matter of timing or being overlooked in the crowd.

For our staff and volunteers, these pups have become family. We’ve spent weeks and months forming special bonds with them. Ask any one of us and we can tell you exactly what their favorite treat is, where they love to walk, their funniest quirky habits, and just how much love they have to give.

To help these sweet long-timers finally find the couches they deserve, we are waiving their adoption fees!

It’s that time of year again! We are starting to see piles (literally) of kittens coming through the door in need of a safe landing pad until they are big enough to go to families of their own.🐱❤️‍🩹

Our shelter is beyond lucky to have an amazing base of fosters on speed dial, ready to take in shelter pets in need whenever we ask.

The momma and kittens found in the photos here are no exception! After arriving last Saturday with less than an hour left in the shelter’s standard business hours, it took only one phone call before a foster was in the car zooming here to take them in.

Because of our fosters, some of our most vulnerable animal friends are able to receive the extra love and attention that only a loving home can provide.🥰
