This is Gooby — my tiny black-and-tan co-pilot who rides my shoulder on every trail we hike in the Wasatch. I run Shanti’s Pack, a small mountain dog hiking business in Utah, and Gooby is the one who keeps every dog in the group regulated just by being himself. He welcomes the new ones, settles the nervous ones, and shows me every single day what co-regulation actually looks like between species. He’s the steady little heartbeat at my side and dogs and humans both relax when they see him trotting up front with me. We’re always learning new things together and building an even better bond — and honestly he’s taught me more about nervous systems and what dogs really need from us than anything I ever read in a book. That’s why we entered Cesar Millan’s My Dog My Inspiration contest on Orbiiit — because Gooby IS my inspiration every single day. The grand prize is $25,000 cash plus a meet-and-greet and training session at Cesar Millan’s Dog Psychology Center in California, and if we win every dollar goes right back into Shanti’s Pack — trail travel, education, and getting our nervous system regulation message out to more dogs and more people. Voting is LIVE right now. Only the top 20 in each group advance to the next round so every vote counts this week. Tap the link, vote for me and Gooby, share it with everyone who loves a good dog story, and thank you from me and my little co-pilot 🐾 https://orbiiit.com/en/s/e2RHq4HjRKyMvJ2WTsVqPAlRKos6ONQi6ZoLokfrWCCw
