Day 2 at Virginia Equestrian Commonwealth Games was very short and sweet. In the ring at 8:30, home by 10:45 😂

Avaya and Pete- 1st, 1st, 1st, Champion- Avaya and Pete had beautiful trips and a great fast pace and FINALLY nailed her hard lead in the flat class! So very proud. 💙❤️💛

Katie and Finn- 1st, 1st, 1st, Champion- Finn had a really great day today, Katie gave him some beautiful confidence boosting rides and it was exactly what the both of them needed. 💙❤️💛

After 2 days at the horse show and then home to do more chores, deworm, and go grocery shopping, I am ready for a nap. So proud of my girls this weekend. They were all amazing as always.

Day 1 at Virginia Equestrian Commonwealth Games and the girls were absolutely on fire. I am so so proud of all 3 of them!!

Kylee and Gadget- 4th, 5th, 5th in the hunter pleasure pony division, competing in their first ever jumping class!! Kylee just started jumping 2 weeks ago!! Huge accomplishment! 🤍🩷🩷

Ariel and Gadget- 4th, 6th, 8th- in the short stirrup division. Ariel took her homework from the show last weekend and absolutely used every ounce of her notes and laid down her very best jumping course of her career!! 🤍💚🤎

Katie and Finn- 4th, 5th, 5th in the hopeful hunters- Katie is tough and resilient and patient. We’re in a bit of a rough patch with Finn and she is committed to his good and proper training. Very proud of her for this because it’s discouraging and hard to keep showing up when things aren’t going the way you want them to. 🤍🩷🩷

Very very proud of these girls and horses. Gadget got to come home and he is finished for the weekend. Tomorrow we have Avaya and Pete and Katie and Finn again to finish lit our show.

Two EXCELLENT days of horse showing at Memory’s Hill for the crew. So many ribbons and results, let’s see if I can remember them all! Very proud of all my girls and the horses. Even if a certain 3 seasoned geldings (ahem Jackson!!, Z, and Finn) did not pack partici-pants in the slightest 😂🤦🏼‍♀️ but the 3 pony angels made up for it today! I had 2 brand new to horse showing girls today( Kylee and Aubrey) and one very new to showing (Ariel) and Gadget the unicorn made today’s experience so positive and confidence boosting for them! Thank you to everyone for all the help doing literally everything while I was at the ring the whole day. What a fun weekend!! I am so proud.

Scouts Honor 2025 Hall of Fame Inductee

Avaya and Gadget and Sophia and Maeve were just barely out of the ribbons for their divisions. They rode well all season and both worked hard and have great goals for 2026.

I am so proud of all these girls and horses and cannot wait to see what 2026 brings.

We had a great time at the SWVHJA Banquet tonight. So many awards for me and my girls. I am so proud. I was so happy to have Adam and Emmy along with me for the first time since she was an infant.

Highlights for me:

Scout was officially awarded his Hall of Fame award. It was really fun to relive the moments of his induction back in the fall. He is a unicorn in every sense of the word and I am honored to have him among the greatest horses and horseman in our organization. I can’t wait to show him his award tomorrow. Making my dreams come true one more time. The pony of a lifetime.

Jackson and I won the Low Hunters for the year. This was especially sweet because I showed less this year than I think I ever have. I worked hard each show and Jackson and I have such a special partnership and connection that it paid off for us. He is truly a once in a lifetime horse. I have had much success on him and he has taught me a lot. He is my heart horse and I have cherished every single moment with him. He is going to be taking a little break from me to help Mackenzie learn and grow while her new horse is getting made up into a show girl. I am excited to see Jackson bring another kid along and I feel good being able to let him teach Mac so I can focus on Magnolia and Peach this year.

Magnolia and I finished 7th in the Thoroughbred Hunters and 8th in the Thoroughbred Recognition award. Again with minimal showing, mags got better and better each show and finished the year in October with one of our best shows yet. I am really excited to finally have her at the top of my priority list and see what we can accomplish together.

Group photos and results to come. I am so looking forward to the 2026 season with my girls and barn family and see where we all are this time next year.
