For more than 18 years, Paddywack has been an independently owned and operated business at Mill Creek Town Center. Husband and wife owners Adam and Shane, and their team, are passionate about only providing the best options for your cats and dogs, as well as giving back to the community, including supporting local rescues. We offer a free loyalty program (with no card to carry!) and honor all vend

or frequent buyer programs, to help make your dollars stretch further. We will never accept payment to recommend products, and we always maintain strict standards for health and safety for everything we carry. We also offer a free pet pantry for people experiencing economic hardship who are in need of a helping hand. Thank you for your business! It is a privilege to serve you and your pets!

Please join us in congratulating this goofball on her 5 year anniversary with us!! Jasmine, you are an amazing person as well as an amazing manager, and our staff and customers are so lucky to have you here with us. But I think we are even luckier than them because you know you have our backs to always take the best care of the store possible - treating our community right, training and coaching our staff on how to do things the "Paddywack way," and being a supportive and kind ear to anyone who needs one. It has been a joy working with you over the past five years and we hope for many more to come! Love you!! ❤️

Do you know these kids?

I am not posting the video because I do not want to put another person's child's face on social media. But these children have come to our store more than half a dozen times, crawling in on their hands and knees and barking and meowing, and also "mating" with stuffed toys and displays. (In this photo, the child in the gray sweatshirt is twerking on the orange food display.) Today they escalated it by screaming loudly inside the store, which scared a visiting rescue dog, so now I've had it. I'm a mom myself and I know kids do stupid stuff, but I have reached my breaking point with these children now that they have scared a dog inside of a store that is supposed to be a 100% safe place for our canine visitors.

If these are your children or you know who they belong to, let them know they are not welcome in our store until they can learn to behave in a way that is respectful to our staff, our customers, and our animal friends. Well behaved children are always welcome here, and 99% of the young people who visit us are kind, respectful, and friendly. But these boys have more than worn out their welcome enough to the point where I am posting this in the hopes that somebody may know who they are and can take action to keep them from returning.

Edit to add: No, we can't trespass them because we don't know who they are. Yes, we have asked them to leave and not return multiple times. No, we do not want to restrict all unaccompanied, well-behaved young people from visiting us because of a couple of bad apples.

The world has lost an icon of kindness and generosity. 😢

This is a really sweet story and it's made even more special to me because Marissa is both my friend and my colleague, as she owns the pet store that my parents used to shop at when they lived in Connecticut. Truly, I do not know how she does this all, but clearly she has had some wonderful helpers in River and now Ruthie. Lots of love to New England Puppy Rescue and Dogology! ❤️

Have you ever met a Mudi? Have you ever even heard of one? 😄 These Hungarian working dogs (pronounced "moody") are very rare, with estimates of only a few thousand worldwide. Louie is our second Mudi customer (that I know of) and the first one I've met as a puppy - what a treat! His parent is a dog trainer (Steady Steps Dogs) so we know he's going to grow up with the best education possible! Good looks, brains, athleticism...he's practically perfect, y'all. ❤️ Welcome to the Paddywack family, Louie!

Thank you to our community for all of the kind condolences we've received over the past few days. It truly means a lot to our family. We know you understand the grief of losing a pet and your words of sympathy are deeply appreciated.

I'm thankful that our son and I had a previously scheduled trip to Leavenworth this week with some of our best friends. It's been good to get away and enjoy the beauty of nature, and the joyful sound of laughter of him and his "bros" having fun while spending time with some of my favorite women (their moms). It doesn't fill the hole in our hearts, but it's helping. ❤️

Hi friends,

We are opening at 11am tomorrow, as our family will be saying goodbye to our beloved 18 year old cat, June, in the morning. Our staff is stepping in to cover for us and give us the time and space to say goodbye to her, but to accommodate that we need to open an hour late. We apologize for the inconvenience.

June is the first "baby" Adam I had together - before her the pets were "his and hers." But in October of 2008, we were asked to be an emergency foster home for this tiny gray and white kitten. She and her sister were feral kittens who were trapped, fixed and ear tipped, but were social enough to be adopted. Unfortunately, both girls also had distemper and worms, and their bodies were shutting down. Her sister sadly didn't survive, but somehow June did. I felt like it was almost like having a baby, feeding her kitten milk replacer slurries every two hours all night long. And each time I left her I would tell her I loved her in case she didn't survive till the next feeding. But she did. She survived and thrived, and after all of that, we just couldn't let her go. Did we need five cats? No. But we needed her.

In the nearly 18 years since she has been our constant companion, a champion snuggler, and in particular our son's best girl. Out hearts are broken, but we know it is her time.

Thank you for your understanding as we navigate this sad time.
