Advanced ratter teams!!!

10/10/2026

October urban hunt (Happy Ratters) classes are in full swing and the teams in advanced, intermediate, and novice levels are doing well. Students, please feel free to post pictures or videos since we’ve been slacking in this area!!!

In advanced levels, our master designer of creative searches (Don) held a search of Mount Rumpke and it included a HUGE (fake) “hazard waste/radioactive” rat tube —— this is an inside joke associated with the huge waste management site of northwest Cincinnati in Colerain Township, plus west of Ross Ohio used to have a functioning Uranium plant (Fernald) which contaminated the area with radioactive uranium. Feel free to “Google” this history.

Don also designed a rat river of odor and his students thoroughly enjoyed the three highly creative and challenging searches.

Featured on Happy Ratters’ website under Rats in the Garden is CCDTC’s “Crystal” with her owner Barb, and photo credit to our creative search designer Don. CONGRATULATIONS to Barb, Crystal, and Don for being selected. We are so proud of Crystal’s accomplishments! Not only is she skilled but she’s a beautiful representation of her breed. ♥️♥️♥️

Has anyone seen the new revamped Happy Ratter website? Happy Ratters is 9 years old and the site is wonderful. The web creators added fun pictures that were submitted by host clubs! The site is much easier to navigate and offers a merchandise shop, too, offering stickers to sweatshirts.

Happy Ratters is a fun, exciting sport where dogs of any breed and experience level hunt for protected rats hidden throughout urban-inspired courses. Find a trial, get started, or learn the games.
