Maxwell: Back in the USA and Friends Both have been adopted and truly HOME! Max will now host the page! Hi, we're Maxwell and Tigger! We once lived happily in Stratford, CT with our dad, Brad.

Maxwell and Tigger, originally from Stratford, CT, are back home in Connecticut from Kenya, Africa where they were left stranded after their owner died unexpectedly in the summer of 2023. He found love and moved, with us soon following, to Kenya, Africa in 2021. Our dad came back to the States in 2023 for surgery, and unexpectedly passed away in a motorcycle crash leaving us stranded in Africa. We

were originally adopted from two different groups: Zen Dog CT and In the Nic of Time, which is no longer in operation. Zen Dog CT was Tigger's rescue and took responsibility to get us both back home to Connecticut. We stayed with the wonderful people at the Kenya SPCA in Mombasa for a few months while SO many people back in the US helped to fundraise and share our story so that we could come home. It took a village, and the village came through! We thank each and every one of you who donated, shared and followed our story--each one of you helped us get home! In early March of 2024, we were finally cleared to fly home. The Small Five Animal Clinic picked us up from the KSPCA and drove us to the airport in Nairobi for our 15 hour plane ride on Kenyan Airways into JFK in New York. Soon after arrival, we moved into our foster home in Milford, CT. We've been decompressing and getting used to our daily routine. It's much cooler here than Africa, and we like that! Foster mom takes us for daily walks and we have our very own special bedroom with a surplus of sleeping areas to choose from; after all, we're seniors and we like to rest! We've also got a fenced yard and patio with kuranda beds to lounge on--what could be better?! What COULD be better is a forever home! We can be adopted together or separately as we are not bonded. Although we've been through so much together, we are not the very best of friends--we're two older gentleman who tolerate one another. BETSY DESERVES A HOME -NOT A SHELTER💔
A note from Woodbridge Regional Animal Control:
After spending approximately 11 years of her life in a home, this sweet older girl was abandoned by the person she trusted.
And now, Betsy is left wondering what happened to her family.
She is the sweetest girl, and our goal is simple: find her a loving home where she can live out the rest of her days feeling safe, comfortable, and loved — never dismissed or thrown away again.
If anyone thinks abandoning a dog is okay, especially an older dog, we can tell you firsthand that it is not.
We have to watch these dogs come through our doors confused and nervous. We watch them decompress. We watch them look toward the door, waiting for the people they love to come back for them.
And when those people never come…
We are left picking up the pieces.
Our job then becomes finding a home for yet another dog — and in Betsy’s case, finding someone willing to look past her age and see the incredibly sweet girl underneath it all.
Older dogs are so often overlooked. People scroll past them because they aren’t puppies anymore.
But Betsy deserves someone who will say:
“You’re home now. I’ve got you.” ❤️
Please open your heart and your home to an older dog. No dog deserves to spend their final years in a shelter, and senior dogs especially deserve to be surrounded by comfort, love, and family until their very last day.
🐾 WHAT WE KNOW ABOUT BETSY 🐾
👂🏼 Hearing: Betsy is hard of hearing
👀 Vision: She has cataracts in both eyes
❤️ Age: At least 10–12 years old
🦴 Personality: Sweet, loving, and absolutely loves treats!
🐾 Other animals: So far, we have not observed any prey drive, but a meet-and-greet will be required.
Betsy has already lost the home she knew for so many years.
Let’s not let her lose the chance to have a family again. ❤️

REUNITED! Piglet was found in the neighbor’s fenced in pool area, she slipped through the fence and camped out there all day, but the Neighbor was at work, which is why she wasn’t found until the neighbor got home. Welcome home Piglet💕

Missing in Orange. This female Dachshund is missing in the Riverside Dr area. She is wearing a harness and is new to the area. She is very fearful of strangers but not aggressive. This area is near the parkway so please do NOT chase. If seen, call the # on the flyer immediately with details on where and when you saw here and what direction she was headed. Let's bring this sweet girl home safe!
