Eleven months ago, a moment of frustration and worry sparked an idea: to give our pets' food the same premium treatment we give fine w**e. That is, store the unconsumed portion under partial vacuum to reduce oxidation, which changes palatability. If the extra effort is good enough for me, then it's good enough for my Oreo, my then 18 year old Shih Tzu.

Today, after a lot of hard work, we achieved a milestone: ready to sell. I am excited to share this idea in a couple weeks at Bark in the Park and, then, to see how we can help even more pets enjoy their meals. Ecstatic is an understatement.

Cahogi is coming out of the lab and into the public eye.

Holy five-can fridge fiasco!

A late-night fridge check reveals a scene of absolute chaos.

Five opened cans?!

The Air Gremlin has been busy.

One can was opened for breakfast. Another for dinner. Maybe a third because somebody suddenly decided the first two were beneath them.

Before long, the fridge has become a collection of half-used cans, each one waiting for its next serving.

And every opened can gives that troublesome cloud of trapped air another chance to make mischief.

Too many leftovers. Too many cans. Too much chaos.

There has to be a better way!

But wait!
