Finally!!!... long awaited
DAINTY BLING (THE FLIRTY SPARKY X BORREGO HOLLY CHIC) had a handsome stud c**t by our stud CHICOS ROYAL KING.
We have been watching impatiently for this foal to be delivered.
Last year was a hard year for our breeding program. Environmental conditions were such that unfortunately Sally's c**t had to be put down. We made some changes to our program immediately to insure that environmental conditions, if they carried over another year, would hopefully have little to no impact on this years c**ts such as we experienced last year. So far those measures are working.

This weekend JF Bar Performance Horses participated in Camp Crook Roping Club Ranch Rodeo. These events were oriented so all ages could participate. We participated as a family team and had a blast!! Team sorting, Pasture roping, Pony Express race and Kaylee's favorite, Steer riding.
We also go to see our favorite oldest daughter Reata Helms and Pepper Wallace.
We had a blast, no one was injured very badly, exhausted but a fun way to kick off our Fair week. We had our Eastern Montana 4H Horse Show day before where Quinn placed Grand Champion in Working Cow Horse and Working Ranch Horse in his class.

She's all Cowgirl!! I think she's committed to this life!! She's only 7... the world is her oyster... there's no stopping her now!! She's riding the best mare to ever pack all of our kids and anyone who wants to ride. That mare steps to any level, beginner to Cowboy, loves to drag calves. She built this girls confidence to catch heels behind her Dad. Blessed to have her in our string!

A Powder River Cowboy Pad just doing some cowboy things! But!!…the coolest part about this picture…little Kaylee holding the heels on her good horse Ugg! She’s only 7 years old folks!! COWGIRL 🩷 Though she’s not mine she’ll always be my little girl. We used to watch bucking horses on TV together cuddled up on the couch. She used to let me comb and braid her hair. She’s pretty special to me and the best part is she lives 30 miles down the gravel road is all! I’ll always be in your corner Kaylee!! I think if she’s gonna do cowboy stuff that’s bigger than her I might need to build her a pad 🩷

When you call your friend Raelynn Davison and ask her if she wants to take a look at your milk cows mouth... "Sure she says... always up for a challenge" Turns out milk cows can have hooks like horses!! Who knew! Routine dentals for cows also??!!
Thank you my friend for working us in your busy schedule, taking my message on a Sunday, more especially appreciated because you are a working mom too!!
