Country Kennel Pet Care Center

Country Kennel Pet Care Center Country Kennel Pet Care Center is a fully staffed boarding facility providing non-veterinary care fo We do recommend bringing your dog’s own food.

REQUIRED MEET & GREETS AND OPTIONAL TRIAL VISITS:
Boarding can be stressful for both pets and their owners. To help ease any anxieties, we do require a meet and greet with potential boarders before their visit. We will schedule an appointment with you during business hours so that we can meet your furry family member and allow you to inspect our facility. If your pet seems nervous or unsure during

the meet and greet, we may request a 24-hour trial visit at no charge. We find that this is immensely beneficial for us, as well as your pet. During the trial, they will get to know our routine, interact with our staff, and become familiar with the kennel. Then, when they do come for a boarding stay, they are coming back to a familiar place and people that they recognize. DOG BOARDING:
We offer boarding services for all dog breeds. Each dog has their own individual indoor kennel and outdoor run where they are allowed access to the outside run every two hours. We supply dishes and bedding, but recommend that you bring something that smells like home with you to help your pet stay comfortable. We can provide Wysong dry dog food (made in Midland, Michigan) if need be. Other helpful information:
• Our buildings are heated and air conditioned
• Extra large runs are available for large dogs or
doubles
• Additional off leash playtime in a large fenced in yard with staff or a playmate is available
• Baths (short-hair breeds) and nail trims can be scheduled upon request
• If your pet requires medical attention, we will consult a veterinarian immediately
• Medications can be administered if need be (pills, liquids, & injections)
• You are welcome to bring your own bedding, toys, and treats

CAT BOARDING:
Cats are boarded in a separate area from the dogs. They are kept in our multi-level cat towers with an upper shelf, main floor, lower shelf, and lower floor. We supply cat litter, litter pans, food and water dishes, and bedding. Feel free to bring your own bedding, or any toys your kitty cat may enjoy. We recommend bringing your own cat’s food, but we can provide Wysong dry cat food if you prefer. For All Boarding Services

Good morning friends and critters,

We unfortunately have some sad news for you today. Big Hoss, our beloved resident and office cat for over 15 years, recently passed away. Many of you knew him as our kennel welcoming committee, often perched on the office counter or strutting through the lobby, meowing for pets and attention. Some of you may also have gone home with a pantleg full of his hair. He was Esther's favorite cat and she would toddle down from the house almost every day to say hello to him and give him many a treat.

Hoss was found under a porch and was brought to us as a kitten. He was the meanest little thing, and it took Mark several weeks of sitting with him in the office to warm him up to people. When he was finally comfortable with the human species, he turned to his fellow felines and decided that he was going to rule the roost, whether they liked it or not. He was very much the kingpin around here and always made sure he was the first one in line for dinner.

Our office is a bit emptier without him (and a lot less hairy), but he lived a long and happy life here at the kennel. We will miss him very much 🐾

Big Al is a big fan of the snow! ❄️🌨️
He has instructed us that the proper way to shovel large amounts is to throw it in the air so that he can can catch and remove it one bite at a time. We might be shoveling for quite a while.. 😅
