Our mission is threefold: operating a shelter for homeless animals, having a spay/neuter program, and providing humane education to the community. Through this approach, we are able to impact

the lives of thousands of animals and people annually by bringing pets and people together for the benefit of both and putting a dent in pet population. Please note any comments made on Facebook may be used for QCAWC marketing purposes online, at the shelter, or at other locations. Third party fundraising posts are not allowed on the page to reduce confusion and protect our donors from potential scams. Please message or call us if you need help, however, and we will do our best to connect you with resources.

Looking for an easy way to support the shelter and save lives 🐾
Our Cars 4 Critters program makes it simple to give back. Donate your car, truck, motorcycle, trailer, boat, or RV to Quad City Animal Welfare Center and your vehicle will be sold at auction or for parts with proceeds directly supporting our lifesaving work.
Selling a used vehicle can be stressful and time consuming. Donating is quick easy and makes a real impact. We will pick up the vehicle at no cost and provide all required DMV paperwork.

💔 Our Pepper kittens are growing up at the shelter.

Bell Pepper, Extra Spicy, Serrano, Cayenne, and Jalapeño are no longer tiny newborns. Day after day, they wake up in the shelter, play in the shelter, nap in the shelter, and go to sleep in the shelter.

They are FeLV-positive kittens, and so far, no one has chosen them.

While other kittens come and go, these babies keep getting overlooked. Yet they are just as playful, loving, curious, and deserving of a family.

They don't know why no one stops for them. They only know they're still waiting.

Please share their story, visit them, or consider opening your heart to a kitten who needs a chance. Their adoption fees have been waived with an approved application.

Ditch the fancy clothes and host a Casual for a Cause to benefit the Quad City Animal Welfare Center. There is no cost to your business and it is a great way to build teamwork while helping animals in need.
How it works:
Employees make a suggested $5.00 donation to dress casual on any day that works for your workplace. Already casual every day? No problem. Have fun with it by choosing a specific color to wear or planning a themed day instead.
As a thank you, participating companies and businesses will receive recognition on the QCAWC page.
