Dear Clients,
In light of the recent EHV-1/EHM outbreak in Texas and Oklahoma, we are taking extra precautions to help protect the health and safety of your horses. At this time, we kindly ask all clients to notify us if your horses have been traveling recently or if any horse in your care is showing signs of illness. Please understand that if either situation applies, we may need to reschedule your barn for the safety of all animals we serve.
Additionally, if you are holding a horse for us, we ask that you help prevent your horse from licking, sniffing, or playing with our hair, skin, or clothing. Because we do not have the ability to shower between each stop, this small precaution helps greatly. We will, however, be thoroughly washing our hands and disinfecting our tools and boots between every client.
While there have been no reported cases in Georgia at this time, these measures are simply precautionary steps to ensure the continued health and well-being of your horses.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Sincerely,
Barefoot Trims Farrier Service
