Scratch-N-Sniff Grooming Thanks for putting your paws in our hands!!! Scratch-N-Sniff Grooming is a full service pet care facility located near East Salem in beautiful Juniata County.

We groom dogs and cats and also offer an ever growing line of retail products such as leashes, collars, clothing, shampoos, conditioners, toys and treats. We are currently open by appointment only and we are closed on Wednesdays and Sundays. (The hours shown on our page indicate our first and last appointment times on each given day.) Our reputation of grooming pets to their owner's specifications

is rated the best in the area. Meeting each customer's needs has made word-of-mouth our best advertisement. Owner, Katie Owen, is a certified pet care professional through the PA Academy of Pet Grooming. Graduated September 2007. Scratch-N-Sniff supports the humane treatment of animals and is an active supporter of pet rescue missions and training for pet owners now and in the future.

Quick Update!
Beginning July 1st, there will be an adjustment to our grooming prices to help keep up with rising supply and operating costs while continuing to provide quality care for your pets.
Pricing may vary depending on your pets individual grooming needs.
Please feel free to message for an updated estimate.

😮‍💨 I was hoping we were done with snow and had resigned myself to mud. Then I wake up to this... YUCK!

Since it's on a Sunday, I thought I'd set up my ofrenda early for Dia de los Mu***os! ❤️ It's a place to remember our pets that have passed.
My dogs are on there, I have a few pictures of customers pets who have passed and I also have some figurines and artwork to represent customers pets who have passed. If you'd like to add your pets who have passed to the ofrenda, feel free bring a photo with their name on it along to your next appointment or mail it to 280 East Salem Road Mifflintown PA 17059 and I'll add it for next year! (I have some small frames I can use 😊)
It's a nice way to remember the pets we've lost and to show they're not forgotten ❤

Some of you may have gotten double reminders about your upcoming appointments. Don't worry! It is coming from SNS! We are (slowly) switching our scheduling program over to Pawfinity!
Your pets will now have their own special profile where you can add pictures and other information that you'd like us to have! Not everyone is switched over yet. (I'm doing it manually to make sure everything is where we want it)

They're also having me add a General Liability Waiver. If you've gotten the appointment notification but not the waiver, let me know! (I'm still learning 🙃) We can have you sign it at the shop as well.

Once it's all set up, it should be much nicer than the previous system! So please bear with us while we're all learning this new fancy technology!
