Happy everyone! 🐾🌿

Madison, or Maddy, has had a love for animals since she was a young girl. She grew up around animals of all sizes. In high school, she discovered an interest in agriculture and anatomy, which naturally led her to the veterinary field.

She began her career in 2016 as a kennel technician, where her passion for animal care continued to grow. Maddy is currently pursuing her goal of becoming a veterinary assistant and plans to further her education to become a registered veterinary technician.

Maddy also has a strong interest in holistic medicine, inspired by her sister, Kaiti, who is pursuing a career as a holistic physician. This influence has encouraged Maddy to embrace a thoughtful, integrative approach to animal wellness.

When she’s not at the clinic, Maddy enjoys traveling and exploring with her significant other and her furry family. She has a full house which includes her two dogs, Mazikeen and Juno, and three cats, Mink, Puma, and Jaide. In her free time, she loves trying new foods and reading all sorts of books that align with her interests.

While Independence Day is a time for celebration, it can also be one of the most stressful holidays of the year for pets and their families.

Between loud fireworks, increased activity, and the risk of pets becoming frightened and escaping, many pet owners find themselves concerned about keeping their furry family members safe and comfortable.

We are here to help! 🌿

We offer a variety of options to help your pet stay calm and secure, including:

Calming medications
Natural supplements
Microchipping services to help reunite lost pets with their families

If your pet struggles with noise anxiety or stress, now is the time to make a plan. Some medications and supplements work best when started before the holiday, so don't wait until the fireworks begin.

📞 Call us at 405-605-6675 to schedule an appointment with one of our providers. We'll help you determine the best options for your pet's individual needs.

We wish you and your pets a safe, happy, and stress-free Fourth of July! ❤️🤍💙

Meet Ava, this week's team member!

Ava has loved and cared for animals since she was a child. She grew up with many family-owned dogs and cats. Since elementary school she has loved math and science. For her, pursuing veterinary medicine made the most sense and she found a passion for it when exploring the career.

In early 2024, she graduated from Moore Norman Technology Center’s veterinary assistant program. Ever since she has been working as a veterinary assistant while pursuing her undergraduate degree. After getting her bachelor's degree, she wants to attend veterinary school.

In her free time Ava enjoys reading, baking, painting, and spending time with her two dogs, Tesla and Java. Even though they are both senior dogs they still love going on walks, meeting new people, and showing their sassy attitudes by back talking!

With local heat indexes up to 105° and more warm weather to come, it’s important to protect your pets from the summer heat!

Monitoring your pets during the warm weather is very important! Signs of heat strokes in pets include: heavy panting, weakness, drooling or stumbling.

During warmer weather you should also have plenty of cool, fresh water available, limit outdoor time, test pavement before a walk and NEVER leave your pets in the car!

If your pet is showing symptoms, please give us a call for triage immediately! Time is very important when treating a heat stroke. Our clinic phone number is 405-605-6675

Reese is up next in our series! 🌿

Dr. Roach's daughter, Reese, grew up in our clinic! Not only did she grow up around animals at the clinic, but she also grew up surrounded by animals at home. Reeses' family has had over eight dogs, horses, pigs, goats, a parrot, finches, geese, and more! In school, Reese showed chickens through 4-H.

After graduating high school, Reese was a custodian at the Oklahoma Spine Hospital. Working at our clinic was a natural next step for her.

She loves the impact that animals can make on owners' lives. Reese's dream is to train emotional support animals, become a veterinary technician, and own her own clinic.
