Thermal imaging can spot missing animals, but experts say getting them home takes more than technology.

103 counts became a 475-year prison sentence for an animal ab*ser.
A jury in Paulding County, Georgia, found Vincent Lemark Burrell, 57, guilty of 93 counts of dogfighting plus 10 counts of animal cruelty. Police had found 107 dogs on his property.
The judge gave him the maximum on every single count, one after another. That is how the sentence reached 475 years, which prosecutors believe is the longest ever in America for this crime.
"Justice was served today for the voiceless," said Paulding County Sheriff Ashley Henson.
That is 475 years for 103 counts, and not one of them was cut short.

the owner is unsure where the dog may have escaped the van. he thought the dog was sleeping in the back after he let them out for a potty break by Sheetz in Colonial Heights.

Lost dog... lost after a doordash delivery last night. if you received doordash last night, please check around your home, under your deck and porch, any covered furniture and if you have ring cameras please check them. She is extremely skittish And doesn't know where she is. The owner is in Deer Run tonight waiting for her to emerge. If you see her please don't try to capture. just call the owner immediately.

LOST IN SOUTH BOSTON
Please keep your eyes open for this dog, but do not attempt to capture, chase, or approach him.

PLEASE DO NOT POST SIGHTINGS HERE. We have a few posts out there and it is hard to keep up with sightings on multiple posts. Please just message 804-552-1552

He is in an unfamiliar area and is extremely frightened. Any attempt to pursue or flush him out could cause him to run farther away and put him at greater risk.

At this time, I believe I have an idea of where he may be. Patience and minimal pressure are critical right now.

If you see him:

Report the sighting immediately using the contact numbers provided.

Do not call his name or attempt to get his attention.

Do not drive slowly through the area searching for him.

If you are on foot and he approaches, get low, avoid direct eye contact, and gently toss treats in his direction. Let him decide whether to approach. If he turns away or begins to run, stop. Do not follow him.

PLEASE stay out of the woods! when a pet finds a safe spot, any interference will cause them to move as they no longer feel safe.

If you have cameras on your property, please review your footage for any sightings. Even a brief glimpse can provide valuable information. Please note time and direction of travel.

Every sighting matters, but how we respond matters just as much. The goal is to keep him in a safe area and avoid pushing him farther away or out into traffic which is what sometimes happens with scared dogs!

's. Luna's owners reached out to me this morning asking for help but because I'm working I couldn't make it and I'm supposed to be taking a break 🤪
So I sent him a list of things that I like to give owners to follow and I also coached him on luring and calming techniques and Luna was secured by the owner!!
Cuddle time with Luna begins now! 😀
