Smokey the lab loose leash walking with his mom.

Walking calmly on a leash was quite a struggle for Smokey. Because he is a strong dog, this behavior was both dangerous and stressful for his owners. Learning proper leash manners was essential. Fortunately, he has been making tremendous progress!

Here is a short obedient session with my boy Cooper. We aren’t training for a competition or anything, he’s just our good ole family dog, def not a show dog lol Regardless him and I need to have a solid line of communication, especially due to his breed and energy level. Playing tug and fetch are his favorite games. I always encourage people to teach their dogs how to play with rules. Making it all a game makes it a good time for both of us. You will notice his E-collar popped off and that wasn’t planned.. but I just kept the session moving, he listens well with out it for the most part these days but it helps with fine tuning. I will be videoing more of not just Coop but client dogs too as I try to embrace this whole videoing myself thing lol
