Paw City Animal Hospital is excited to announce yet another new service to our clinic!

Just in time for the upcoming holiday travel season our team is pleased to be able to offer the west Texas community BOARDING SERVICES!

PCAH is not only providing this much needed service - we are the only veterinary hospital to include Medical Services on an as needed basis with our boarding facility.

As life happens - we all know that our animal companions have medical and health needs that arise. On occasion those needs happen when our pets are in boarding or planning to be boarded.

The team here at Paw City is trained to handle medical emergencies, administer daily medications as needed, provide much needed companionship and interaction with your fur babies as well as providing you with peace of mind knowing that your four-legged loved ones are being well taken care of while you’re away.

Additionally - as with any boarding - there are vaccine requirements necessary to insure the health and safety of all of our furry tenants. Paw City is able to provide those vaccines in advance as well as assisting you with updated immunization protocols as needed.

Thank you for trusting us with your loved ones!

Today one of our four legged friends had the honor of being our inaugural bathing recipient!

After having medical treatments our furry friend got a little behind in his personal care routine. Our team was able to spruce him up with a routine bath and deshedding along with a nail trim and gland expression.

He was such a good boy he got to leave with a doggy treat and a brand new bandana!

As fall approaches and we welcome the cooler temperatures - Paw City Animal Hospital would like to provide you with a few tips to help keep your animal companions stay safe, happy and healthy.

🎃 It’s pumpkin decorating and displaying season! Pumpkin itself may be a go-to for some pets for occasional digestive relief or as small treats - but pumpkin seeds are not! Our pets simply cannot digest them and seeds can cause blockages and irritation. Making sure all seeds are gathered and properly disposed of will help insure your fur babies safety.

🎉 Seasonal decorating is also in bloom! With that comes all manner of glitter, glue, tape, staples, makeup and more. As our little roomies are curious and mischievous and certainly just want to help us celebrate the season - we need do our absolute best to keep those decorating supplies out of their reach. Most ingredients in our decorating kits can be or are toxic to domestic animals. Even after our decor is out on display please remember to keep tabs on your little fuzz buckets for nibbling and chewing and help keep them from experiencing discomfort and pain from an accidental ingestion.

🌼 We all love a nice fall arrangement of fresh flowers! Even a very small amount of any of these plants can cause severe illnesses or even death if ingested by our pets. Please check out this link for a comprehensive list of flowers and plants that will cause illnesses in our little loved ones. https://animalemergencyservice.com.au/blog/flowers-plants-toxic-dogs-cats/.

As always if you have any questions or concerns for your animal’s health and safety- your care team at Paw City is here to help! 🐾🐶🐾🐈
