UPDATE!!!
We have a foster coming to meet her tomorrow. If it doesn't work out, we will update the post.

We desperately need a foster for Rosa. She was left tied to our fence. She is a very sweet lady, but unfortunately, she needs to be the only animal. It's too hot in our kennels for her, and we have nowhere else to put her 😢. If you can help, please message us.

Well, here we go again…

We are currently closed to intake. Do we like being closed? Absolutely not. We got into rescue to help animals, and every day we wish we could say “yes” to every animal in need.

Unfortunately, rescue resources are not unlimited. We can only take in as many animals as we have the space, staff, funding, and foster homes to properly care for.

Many rescues, including ours, will often offer alternatives when we are full, such as having the finder or owner temporarily foster the animal while we work to secure placement, transport, or adoption. Sadly, very few people are willing to help in that way.

Instead, someone (we do have their name and information and have turned it over to the police) chose to abandon this Bulldog at our gate in the heat of the day. We are just glad we were there to get her to safety.

Dumping or abandoning an animal is not only irresponsible—it is illegal. Under Texas Penal Code 42.092, animal abandonment is a criminal offense.

We remain committed to saving and changing lives, but we need the community’s support and understanding to continue doing so.

Please don’t dump animals. Help us help them.

🐾 Meet Zion! 🐾

Zion is a handsome 5-year-old boy who is still searching for the family he's been waiting for. He has spent nearly his entire life at the sanctuary after arriving as a puppy, and we would love nothing more than to see him finally find a home of his own.

Zion does well with other dogs and enjoys going for walks where he can explore and take in the world around him. He can be a little shy when meeting new people, but with a little patience and kindness, he warms up and shows his sweet, gentle personality.

It has been raining kittens this spring in Midland. Every time I open a social media app, someone is posting “free to a good home” “I found this kitten and can’t take keep it, who can take it ?”

It’s overwhelming. Local rescues are doing their best, but their space and funds are limited. Soooo….we are hosting a kitten shower benefitting !

Join us on the patio to snuggle kittens, learn about bottle feeding, and support a good cause. If you’d like to bring a gift for the kitten nursery, the needed supplies are listed for you. If you can’t attend, but want to contribute, Venmo me and I’ll do the shopping for you!
