National Dog Day is tomorrow, August 26th - what will you be doing with your pup?

National Dog Day was founded in 2004 by pet lifestyle expert Colleen Paige, the date marks when her family adopted their first shelter dog.
The Core Mission of National Dog Day is to encourages adoption, promote safe and abuse-free lives, honors working and service dogs and to celebrate ALL BREEDS! Purebreds, mixed breeds, and mutts equally.

There are lots of goodies and freebies available -
You can treat your dog to a free "Puppuccino"at Starbucks, Tim Hortons or Dunkin Doughnuts.

FidoAlert: You can order a 100% free custom Fido ID Tag engraved with your pet's name and your contact info to keep them safe.
ASPCA: You can request a free Pet Safety Pack online, which includes a pet rescue window decal to alert first responders in case of a home emergency
Many pet stores will also offer specials or freebies.

Other simple ways to participate

Spend Time: Take a special sniff-focused walk or play an indoor search game.
Support Rescues: Donate supplies or volunteer at local animal shelters.
Safety Check: Update your dog's microchip and identification tags.
