I had my first ranch (in the cattle business) in Arkansas in 1990. This was my first introduction to cattle, horses, chickens, goats and Great Pyrenees dogs. It was then that I fell in love with the ranch life and everything that it had to offer. My daughters were barrel racers and did rodeos over the next decade or so. We moved to Oklahoma in 1998 and continued our ranch operations there until ar

ound 2003. At that time, we moved to Northern Virginia at which point I had to let the ranch life go.........for a little while. In 2019, Jeff and I purchased 233 acres of a historical plantation in Midland, VA and the ranch dream was able to continue! We currently have horses (including miniatures and ponies), cattle, donkeys, goats, lambs, chickens, great pyrenees, rabbits and pigs. We are constantly growing our business and are now offering horse/pony rides & lessons, farm tours, beef sales, birthday parties and events, field trips and even allow volunteers to come help out and see the Mountain View ranch way! I am in the growing out process. I will have a couple big steers and offer some smaller ones depending on the demand. The estimated whole hanging weight of the bigger steers will be about 750 and the smaller steers will be about 450. The hanging weight price for preorders with a deposit will be $7/hanging lb plus processing (approx 1/lb). You can order 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 or whole. Share with friends/family. We have ANGUS BEEF available, all born on the ranch in a stress-free environment without any antibiotics, hormones, steroids. We do not use commercial fertilizer. Our cattle are on a rotational and strip grazing cycle around the ranch so they get the full benefit of the grass and the grass gets the full benefit from the fertilizer from the cows. You can buy 1/4, 1/2 or a Whole, a lot of our customers go in together with family and friends to buy the Whole Thing. The price on this go around will be 6.00/lb based on hanging weight plus the processing fee. The processing fee depends on the cuts and packaging you select. Remember that the price is for all cuts including all steaks, roasts, etc all from the same animal. Please contact me if interested.
