There are evenings that remind us just how extraordinary this community truly is.
On Sunday evening, friends of the Potter League gathered on the beautiful grounds of 'Beaulieu', graciously hosted by Mrs. Dede Wilsey, for an unforgettable Yappy Hour in support of the animals who depend on us every day. What unfolded was an evening defined by generosity, compassion, and an unwavering belief that every animal deserves a second chance.
Thanks to the remarkable generosity of our guests, sponsors, and supporters, Yappy Hour 2026 raised an extraordinary $778,000—making this our most successful event to date. We are still overwhelmed by your kindness and humbled by the confidence you've placed in our mission.
One of the evening's most inspiring moments was the Paws Up Fund-a-Need, thoughtfully led by Anne Hamilton. Her heartfelt advocacy for the animals continues to inspire generosity that will have a lasting impact on thousands of lives in the year ahead.
And while the evening celebrated the future of countless animals still waiting for their chance, it also changed lives in real time. Several of the adoptable dogs who joined us at Yappy Hour may soon be beginning the next chapter of their lives with families they met that evening.
This evening would not have been possible without the dedication of our exceptional committee co-chairs—Dory Benson, Andrea Breyer, Katie Gewirz, Amy Harden, Elizabeth McMillen, Sue Petrovas, Mary Van Pelt, & AnaPaula Watson—whose months of planning, creativity, and leadership made every detail feel effortless.

Your generosity will provide lifesaving medical care, specialized surgeries, rehabilitation, nourishment, comfort, and hope to thousands of animals in need. Because of you, countless lives will be changed.
