My name is Susan, The Assistant. I am a special, sweet, active girl that needs a new home. I am current on all my vaccines and have been spayed and about 16 weeks old. I had a fractured femur when I arrived at MAH, that has since healed on its own. Please contact the hospital about adopting me. I can’t wait to meet my new family. 💕😻

Is anyone missing a bearded dragon in Middletown? A nice client saved him from the cold. If you are and have pictures to prove he/she is yours, please contact Lake County Animal Care & Control.

Hello neighbors and friends!

I have a really beautiful, sweet, loving, fixed Doberman who is in need of a home. She is a rescue from the shelter and due to some gentile conflict in my household I cannot keep her.

She’s maybe about two years old and I’ve taught her sit, lay down and wait. (Wait we are still working on).

She is great with my other dog and loves to play. She does not have cat aggression but sometimes gets startled if they are behind a door or the couch. She coexists well.

I have been working with her on not pulling on leash and she is greatly improved but not perfect yet.

She loves treats and is very good and toy motivated. She also does NOT have Von Willebrand disease- she was tested before she was spayed.

My heart is so sad that I have to let her go.

Please feel free to message me if there is any interest.

This sweet mama was found tied up to our bench this morning when staff arrived for work. Her puppies had broken through the makeshift kennel and several were loose in the parking lot. There are five puppies that we know of. If anyone in the neighborhood around our hospital sees any other puppies, please contact Lake County Animal Care & Control. They will be coming to pick them up today. 💕

💔

EIGHT puppies were found along Sulphur Bank Dr. They are hot, thirsty, and now depending on an already overcrowded shelter to keep them safe.

We are over capacity. Every kennel is needed, our foster homes are occupied, and the number of animals coming through our doors continues to exceed what we can safely provide for. But we did not turn these babies away.

We urgently need:

🏠 Foster homes!
🤝 Rescue partners!
🐾 Adopters for our available dogs to create desperately needed space.
🥣 Puppy food, supplies to help with their care.

Taking in one more group means making room where there simply is none. Please help us share the burden. Even fostering one puppy or sharing this post could make a lifesaving difference.

Foster application, available dogs and wishlists found here:
